@teguhn_twitter the upgrade script is designed to run from a remote host that connects to your Redash instance.

the upgrade process is showing no progress. Any ideas why?

@teguhn_twitter make sure you pass it the correct user (-u) and ssh key (-i).
(same ones you use to ssh to this machine)

Hello Guys, Just got started with Re:Dash. Seems awesome. Was wondering if there is a way to restrict a user to only view a particular dashboard?

Hi all, just started using redash as well. I'm trying to add some charts to my dashboard but for some reason I can only select table when adding new widgets. On the query page the only option available are 'table' and 'pivot table'. Clicking 'pivot table' shows a message with a link to "New Visualization" tab, but nothing happens when I click it. I checked the demo and there is a 'chart' option next to 'pivot table' so I'm not exactly sure what I'm missing..

@bigimot you're probably in dataset only view. Click on the "Show Source" button on the top right corner and then click on "New Visualization".
@Orange19810_twitter you can achieve that with group permissions somehow. Another option is to create a share link for a dashboard and share it with this user.

@arikfr thank you for the reply. I played around with the group permissions and the least access you can give a user is dashboard + data source view access. The link is public so am not comfortable with that.
Let me know if you figure out another way.

Hello, I think the solution to my problem is to use the URL data source. I am having trouble to get the URL for the query. In the documentation it says "The query itself inside re:dash will simply contain the URL to be executed (i.e. http://myserver/path/myquery)" . I have "http://myserver/queries/4 ". Do i need to give source and table details as well? Anyone tried this?
