I'm wondering if anyone has tips for getting Oracle working ... I'm using a customized Oracle container built with instantclient & cx_Oracle. I can login to redash_redash_1 and use python/cx_Oracle to talk to my database. However, when I go to the redash ui to add a datasource Oracle is not one of the options in the picklist.

@stvsmth Oracle isn't enabled by default. Add to your env the variable REDASH_ADDITIONAL_QUERY_RUNNERSwith the value redash.query_runner.oracle.

@arikfr Excellent! That did the trick ...
Had to add my Oracle DB to the hosts file ... that was at least the simplest fix to get things running. Thanks! @arikfr ... liking what I see so far.

Why did you need to add it to the hosts file?

Not sure why the Docker container could see my db by hostname (I suppose I could have configured it by IP address) could be several things, all of which I will check tomorrow : )
At this point I just wanted to play with re:dash using my own dataset. Quick question: I saw a merged PR for saving Pivots ... is that something that landed after 0.11.0 (which is what is displayed at the bottom of my re:dash page) or am I missing something in the UI?
Pardon my laziness, I should probably look at commit history and tags to mostly figure that out on my own!

@stvsmth it landed in 0.10 and should be available in your version.

Got it! Thanks! I saved the pivot in the "blank" state; recreated it with my desired settings and saved that. Works great.

Good morning, I am not sure if Gitter is the right place for this question. I am working with the hosted version of redash and can't find the documentation that explains how to format results from BigQuery so that I can make charts.

@eisokant_twitter when using the hosted version, you can just use the chat button from inside the app. This way we get more context to help you.
