Hi @arikfr I guess, 0.11.0.b2016 is the latest release version?

Hey, does redash somehow support vars? i.e. @start_date = '2016-08-03'; SELECT ..

@eclypse80 @fpieront it's a problem with the Plot.ly library (in the version we're using).
@rghose actually better use the 0.11.1 release (going to make it latest later today), as it fixes an issue with alerts & emails.
@alkavan yes, demo.redash.io/queries/146/source?p_action=create

Oh, I see I can select it in my query like that then use it in rest?
like SELECT '2016-08-03' as start_date ... {{start_date}} ?

not sure what you mean by rest, but once you type {{action}} into your query it will add this parameter (obviously you can change the name to whatever you want).

@arikfr What I want is whoever edit the query have the ability change var in one place for the whole query.
for example, date.

you can reuse the same parameter all over the query.

I just finished packaging version 0.11.1 which has a fix for a bug with sending emails on alerts triggering introduced in 0.11. If you upgraded to 0.11 already (and use alerts), this is a recommended upgrade. If you didn't upgrade yet, this is recommended as well :-) https://github.com/getredash/redash/releases/tag/v0.11.1.b2095

@arikfr I updated to 0.11.1 but I can't figure out how to use the query parameter UI. i created a query with a {{parameter}} in it but haven't noticed any UI elements like the ones from the github issue animated gif (which is the only documentation i can find on this feature)
am i missing something?

@scott-hand try clearing browser cache. It might have loaded the old version, because the UI should just appear once you add a parameter in the query.

ah, that cleared it up. sorry, classic mistake
it also looks like you have a nice way to bind parameters from the dashboard, that's really useful, thanks!
