    Anyone know if it is possible to associate an error / event with a particular release once it has already been logged?

    How can i handle all exceptions on c# on send it to Sentry. I tried this but not sending to Sentry
    Bruno Garcia
    @bruno-garcia
    Hi! @merihdursun Could you give some context on your environment? What framework and runtime? .NET Core, Mono or .NET Framework on Linux Win or MacOS? Versions, etc. Also, if you have small sample reproducing the issue, that'd help troubleshooting

    Hello folks. i don't know how active this gitter is. I'm wondering if anyone has a link to a doc for setting the user and environment tags.
    @ironicnet: What specifically are you wondering about? I think the C# interface is pretty self explanatory, but if there's specifics that are unclear, please shout out.

    Hi, I'm looking to use Sentry.io with my Windows Desktop WPF application. SharpRaven looks like the right nuget package for making that happen, but I'm unable instantiate a RavenClient/Dsn without including the private key. Is there a way around this, or should I use a different method of sending crash reports to Sentry?
    Bruno Garcia
    @bruno-garcia
    I believe its ok to add the private key on your WPF app. Its not used with JS on the browser only if I'm not mistaken.

    Hi everyone! I have just joined Sentry as a full time employee. Super excited to work full time with OSS!
    My technical background is mostly .NET so I'd love to hear from you guys what kind of applications you've integrated Sentry and your experience.

    I'm especially curious what kind of stack, like ASP.NET (WebForms, MVC, WebAPI2) OWIN, ASP.NET Core, Xamarin, WPF, WinForms, Silverlight or whatever. Maybe you got some console apps that are triggered by Windows Task Scheduler? I'd love to hear about it. Framework version is also something important. Anyone on .NET Core 1? Or .NET Framework 3.5 or 4.0? Mono 4.0?

    Please drop me a message if you can. I'm looking forward to learning more about your use of Sentry and how we can make things even better. My email: bruno@sentry.io

    Can I receive sentry errors in multiple accounts?
    Something like creating multiple Sentry Client instances?
    I am using ASP.NET Core 2.0

    In my current code I have:

    services.AddSentryDotNet (new SentryClient (sentryKey));

    By the way, I'm using the SentryDotNet third-party library
    Bruno Garcia
    @bruno-garcia
    We're working on a new SDK which supports ASP.NET Core 2: https://github.com/getsentry/sentry-dotnet#aspnet-core-integration
    it supports multiple projects
    you can bind a new client with: SentrySdk.BindClient(client)
    the new SDK doesn't need AddSentry/UseSentry on Startup.cs, you only need to call one time UseSentryat the Program.cs (web host builder)
    log messages for that transaction are sent as breadcrumbs
    unless you use a third party logging library (i.e: serilog) an extra package (sink) will be needed. Such package wasn't written yet.

    @drop-db
    Is it already stable?
    Bruno Garcia
    @bruno-garcia
    we'll release a major version next month
    but it's been used already, we have a few thousand events at sentry already from those SDKs
    but it's still a preview
    Daniel Freitas
    @drop-db
    Package 'Sentry.AspNetCore' is incompatible with 'all' frameworks in project
    What are the limitations of compatibility?
    Bruno Garcia
    @bruno-garcia
    .net standard 2.0
    Are you targeting .Net core 1?
    @drop-db end of life support to core 1 is June next year. We didn't want to build the new SDK locked by the many limitations of netstandard 1.x
    Bruno Garcia
    @bruno-garcia
    If you are using .net framework with aspnet core, it's also ok but minimum requirements is aspnet core 2 (ns2.0)

    Hi there!
    What kind of scope should the RavenClient be used with (.NET Full Framework)?
    • Singleton
    • Transient
    • Scoped

    Hello !
    I started using Sentry a few days ago, and I want to use release feature. For that I must give the commit tag.
    Who can I give the commit tag before commiting the code with the good tag ?
    Bruno Garcia
    @bruno-garcia
    On the new SDK (which we have as an RC and will be released in a few days) we automatically read the value from AssemblyInformationalVersion which can be a string and hence the commit hash or a tag. As a fallback we read the AssemblyVersion numeric value in case you set that.
    You can also set as an environment variable

    I have no idea where to go so I came here: what's the best place to ask questions about https://github.com/getsentry/milksnake? I hesitate to make an issue out of it (badum tshhhh)
    Bruno Garcia
    @bruno-garcia
    I'm gonna go with: forum.sentry.io but I'll ask around and let you know if there's a better place
    Jari
    @safijari
    thank you, I got impatient and made an issue too :see_no_evil:

    Hi, does SharpRaven.Nancy exist for the .Net 3.5 framework? Which version should I install? By Nuget I can not.

    hi
    do you know what does than mean actionable exception ? I need add filter on sentry showing only actionable exceptions

    I don’t think that’s a Sentry terminology. Where did you find this?
