Hi all... I installed gitbucket yesterday and tried creating a new repository from an existing one. The existing one is in Bitbucket. Passing in username and password didn't seem to work, so I made the repo public... but I'm still getting a permission error trying to create it?

@rexorient Are you trying to evaluate gitbucket by moving repo from bitbucket to GB? Just create a new repo on GB and push the existing repo to GB, no operations on BB is required.

@yaroot I figured I'd try using the create repo... would be an easy way to move all of our repos over on a weekend and ditch BitBucket

@rexorient Ah, there's nice API support: https://github.com/gitbucket/gitbucket/wiki/API-WebHook

@rexorient There are some commandline tools that could help, since gitbucket api is compatible with github, but I never tried them.

I was looking a the API... unclear how I'd use that. But maybe with a tool...

So no matter what I tried I could not get gitbucket to initialize and run with a mysql database. So I painfully built a sql database with max count in varchars and bigints based on the database viewer results in H2. To my shock it worked.
I'd love to learn how this works and maybe help with mysql compatibility eventually. It runs so fast and smooth under sql

@stheno Which flavor are you using, oracle mysql will work (I'm using 5.7.20), latest mariadb will not and I haven't tested percona yet.
