Ok, I have an answer. As I am a fresh Git user, for release you need to use git tags -a <tagname> -m <description>, then you git push --follow-tags <origin> and there you go - you have releases. I leave this info for another unexperienced Git users (are there any?)

Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@cndkhuong That's weird. Did you run that command in the root directory of cloned source tree?
Kevin
@cndkhuong
hi, thanks for reply me. I git pull and sbt ~jetty:start only , my sbt version is 1.2.8
Kevin
@cndkhuong
sorry, that's caching issue on my setup. It worked after I clean cache folder

Was the version 4.32.0 released at March 17th?
https://gitbucket.github.io/gitbucket-news/gitbucket/2019/03/17/gitbucket-4.32.0.html
I thought it was today.

Hi there. I just found this project, and it's pretty awesome. One thing is missing for me is code review tools, like Github's Code Owners. Is that feature planed? Or maybe a good candidate for a plugin.
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@cardil Do you mean suggesting reviewers functionality?
Chris Suszynski
@cardil
Yes.
Suggesting but also forcing approval of certain group on given PR
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
Forcing someone's review sounds good, but we don't have enough engineering resource to make that.
Chris Suszynski
@cardil
I might do that feature, if I find some spare time. That's unlikely :smirk:
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
Hehe. I hope that you will find time to make a contribution!

@cardil
Another question. Do gitbucket's plugin system offers some kind of classpath isolation? In other words: can plugins package their own dependencies without influencing other plugins or base server?
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
GitBucket plugin is fat jar that includes dependent libraries and loaded by isolated class loader from other plugins.
Plugin can reference GitBucket core classes and core dependencies, but isolated from other plugins.
Chris Suszynski
@cardil
Those two sentences, you've just spoke, should be written somewhere in visible place. Like, here: https://gitbucket.github.io/gitbucket-news/gitbucket/2015/06/29/how-to-create-plugin.html
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
Right, and that article is out of date. We need to update the article, anyway.

Filed a ticket to update the plugin tutorial: gitbucket/gitbucket-news#50

Hi. I have a question regarding debugging the GitRepositoryServlet - gitbucket/gitbucket#2342. I'm trying since two days to get it working but no luck. Using sbt ~jetty:debug starts and enables remote debugging on port 5005. I can connect but my breakpoint never gets hit. I tried javaOptions ++= Seq("-Xdebug", "-agentlib:jdwp=transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=5005" ). Tried using Scala IDE where I'm unable to set a breakpoint, tried IntelliJ where the breakpoint gets set but never hit. If enabling "Stop on Exception" it works but not on the exception I was filtering. I assume Jetty spawns a new jvm and the debugger isn't attached and stays with the [main]. I googled, checked StackOverflow, checked all gitbucket issues, found the developer remote debugging page but it's not working.
Do you have any suggestions?
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@mmaenz You don't need to add javaOptions if you use sbt ~jetty:debug. Remote debug is available through port 8888 in default.
Or if you want to add javaOptions ++= Seq("-Xdebug", "-agentlib:jdwp=transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=5005" ), you need to run GitBucket as sbt ~jetty:start, not sbt ~jetty:debug.
