By the way, can someone reproduce this issue? gitbucket/gitbucket#2393
Nicholas Chambers
@ntchambers
Sounds good. I'm not in any rush to get these fixed, so I'll make issues for them
I can't reproduce the issue either :/
Although if I download from a subfolder it only downloads a zip of that folder (not sure if that's intended or not)
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
Thank you for checking. If you download a subfolder, its descendants should be included in a zip file. Let me try again.

hi just started gitbucket, how do I create users ?
and add my repo
my git repo is git@<ip>.my_project.git
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@sbalasa You can create users at the admin page and can create Git repo from "+" button on the right side of the top bar if you logged-in.

Hi All. Happy new year.
Quick question: I want to set up gitbucket on a server that already has port 8080 in use. How do I change the gitbucket listening port?
SIkebe
@SIkebe

@hexdream You can change port using command line arguments.

java -jar gitbucket.war --port=1234

Hi, everybody!

I would like to know if it is possible, when creating a new repo, to preconfigure the "Priorities" and "Labels" according to my own settings?
At the moment, I have to erase and rewrite everything every time.

Thank you!

SIkebe
@SIkebe
@Christo-pro Not implemented yet. You have to execute SQL directly for now.

Hello @Slkebe,
Thank you for your response. I had searched the issues before writing on this thread but without results.
Thank you for your response. I very much hope that this feature will be added. I thought it was a good idea to add a kind of repo model that would allow us to choose on which basis to create the new repo.
Thanks again for the answer.

how to enable LFS support in gitbucket
SIkebe
@SIkebe
@dagasaurabh You can enable Git LFS by setting Base URL in your System settings page.

Hello all. I'm currently trying to connect to GitBucket using Intellij Clion (should be same as Idea). I asked this question before, as others have done. And there is no satisfactory answer: Is it possible to browse GitBucket repos from within Intellij IDEs? Yes, I know it depends upon whether API is implemented, etc. But I need to know whether it works or not. If it does not work, I'll file an issue. If it should work, I'll try to fix my setup. I think there should be a Wiki page with Intellij interop. This also concerns the task feature of Intellij that might connect to GitBucket issues.

@takezoe
I'm not really sure since I've never tried. Has someone tried to use IntelliJ with GitBucket?
Intuitively, IntelliJ's task feature doesn't work with GitBucket because GitBucket covers GitHub's API very partially. Also, I'm not sure which APIs we need to implement for that.
Yuusuke KOUNOIKE
@kounoike
I tried it a year or two ago. According to my memory, most APIs work well. However, the most important feature, the search API, was not implemented. I have created a dummy API that returns all issues for any search. I think it is very difficult to implement this API correctly.

Hello , Is it possible to set gitbucket to use a bare repo?
We have a web server and wishes to version control this website.
I am currently setting up with apache + git , but is looking for easier solution.
Yan
@yaroot
@LowDensity do you mean [push to deploy] or [commit for every file change]
SIkebe
@SIkebe
??? GitBucket itself manages repositories as bare repo under {GITBUCKET_HOME}\repositories.
If you want to clone as a bare repository, you can something like this
git clone --bare http://localhost:8080/git/root/repository.git
LowDensity
@LowDensity
@yaroot yes i do , sorry for poor english
@SIkebe I am new to this, but I thought it will be default for webservers like this to host local repositories
What a surprise.
LowDensity
@LowDensity
It seems that I have misunderstood the meaning of clone --bare
thanks all.

Hello guys, I have got problem with ci-plugin but I am not sure if this is the place to ask
I do not understand how or in what case skip word / run words will be used
If this is not the place , please tell me.

It appears that the API does not currently support reporting whether a project has a wiki. Am I correct or did I miss it?
For instance, GitHub has a has_wiki property but that is not included in the data returned by GB when getting repo info.
(I've written a script that queries all active repos and merges them into one monolithic repo to do things like search our entire codebase, etc.. And would like to do a similar thing for the wikis.)
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe

@LowDensity https://github.com/takezoe/gitbucket-ci-plugin/blob/master/README.md#skip-and-re-run-by-keywords

You can skip a build by including specific words in the commit message. Moreover you can also re-run the pull request build by adding a comment including specific words. These words can be set at the build settings.

@joshuacurtiss GitBucket APIs don't have such property for now. Adding has_wiki property might be a good idea.

Don't know if this is counted as an issue,
I deployed gitbucket to a tomcat and tried to change the default gitbucket.home to a relatively easy-to-find directory.
And then it starts giving me 404 "The origin server did not find a current representation..." error.
I wanted to use external db and put repostitories in an easy-to-find location for future management.
LowDensity
@LowDensity
using Tomee 7.1.1 / Tomcat 8.5.4
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@LowDensity How did you try to configure gitbucket.home? In Tomcat or other servlet containers, you can use an environmen variable GITBUCKET_HOME or a system property gitbucket.home as described in this doc: https://github.com/gitbucket/gitbucket/wiki/Basic-configurations

I tried with this.
The web.xml located in tomcat/webapps/gitubcket/WEB-INF/web.xml
@takezoe Does environment variable means setting GITUBKCET_HOME in windows Environment Variable?
