@SIkebe I am new to this, but I thought it will be default for webservers like this to host local repositories
What a surprise.
It seems that I have misunderstood the meaning of clone --bare
thanks all.

Glad to hear that :smile:

Hello guys, I have got problem with ci-plugin but I am not sure if this is the place to ask
I do not understand how or in what case skip word / run words will be used
If this is not the place , please tell me.

It appears that the API does not currently support reporting whether a project has a wiki. Am I correct or did I miss it?
For instance, GitHub has a has_wiki property but that is not included in the data returned by GB when getting repo info.
(I've written a script that queries all active repos and merges them into one monolithic repo to do things like search our entire codebase, etc.. And would like to do a similar thing for the wikis.)

@LowDensity https://github.com/takezoe/gitbucket-ci-plugin/blob/master/README.md#skip-and-re-run-by-keywords

You can skip a build by including specific words in the commit message. Moreover you can also re-run the pull request build by adding a comment including specific words. These words can be set at the build settings.

@joshuacurtiss GitBucket APIs don't have such property for now. Adding has_wiki property might be a good idea.

@takezoe thanks .

Don't know if this is counted as an issue,
I deployed gitbucket to a tomcat and tried to change the default gitbucket.home to a relatively easy-to-find directory.
And then it starts giving me 404 "The origin server did not find a current representation..." error.
I wanted to use external db and put repostitories in an easy-to-find location for future management.

@LowDensity
using Tomee 7.1.1 / Tomcat 8.5.4
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@LowDensity How did you try to configure gitbucket.home? In Tomcat or other servlet containers, you can use an environmen variable GITBUCKET_HOME or a system property gitbucket.home as described in this doc: https://github.com/gitbucket/gitbucket/wiki/Basic-configurations

I tried with this.
The web.xml located in tomcat/webapps/gitubcket/WEB-INF/web.xml
@takezoe Does environment variable means setting GITUBKCET_HOME in windows Environment Variable?
or tomcat has its own
LowDensity
@LowDensity
@takezoe Setting environmental Variables in Windows seems to work fine , thanks. Also suggest removing the commented part I posted in pic .
Things dont work correct after uncommented.
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
I'll remove that part from doc. Thanks!
@LowDensity But where did you find that?
Marc Teufel
@mteufel
Just one question: Do you think migration from (Atlassian) Bitbucket -> Gitbucket is as easy as 1-2-3 ? Just cloning? Or is there more?
LowDensity
@LowDensity
@takezoe I found the line exact the same in this file :
https://github.com/gitbucket/gitbucket/blob/master/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml
Matthieu Brouillard
@McFoggy
@mteufel depends on your requirements. If you just want to move the source code (with history) then creating a repo from another one is enough. If you expect to retrieve also the issues, PR, ... it is another story.

Hello, I am trying to get gitbucket going on Ubuntu 18.04 with tomcat 8. I got it installed the first time but it crashed soon after with the following output in catalina.out.

Hi Everyone! Does anyone know where the documentation on REST API for gitbucket may be?
We are trying to retrieve the list of all repo from gitbucket...
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@ss_internalit_twitter Here is the list of REST API supported by GitBucket. Mostly GitHub API compatible but not fully supported.

Is there any guide on how to enable git lfs for gitbucket?
I tried to push a very large repository (4xx MB) with lfs and it was unsuccessful
what can I do to make it success?
Hirohisa Yamaguchi
@umq
is there any post size limit on your deployment?
LowDensity
@LowDensity
@umq Not quite sure, never configured that part. I will check for it .
So LFS should work fine without any extra effort right?
SIkebe
@SIkebe
@LowDensity You need to configure base URL to enable Git-LFS support
Hirohisa Yamaguchi
@umq
e.g. tomcat has maxPostSize limiting post to 2MB by default
https://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-8.0-doc/config/http.html
LowDensity
@LowDensity
@umq I will try that.
