@takezoe Does environment variable means setting GITUBKCET_HOME in windows Environment Variable?
or tomcat has its own
@takezoe Setting environmental Variables in Windows seems to work fine , thanks. Also suggest removing the commented part I posted in pic .

Things dont work correct after uncommented.
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
I'll remove that part from doc. Thanks!
@LowDensity But where did you find that?
Marc Teufel
@mteufel
Just one question: Do you think migration from (Atlassian) Bitbucket -> Gitbucket is as easy as 1-2-3 ? Just cloning? Or is there more?
LowDensity
@LowDensity
@takezoe I found the line exact the same in this file :
https://github.com/gitbucket/gitbucket/blob/master/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml
Matthieu Brouillard
@McFoggy
@mteufel depends on your requirements. If you just want to move the source code (with history) then creating a repo from another one is enough. If you expect to retrieve also the issues, PR, ... it is another story.

@LowDensity Thanks! Removed: gitbucket/gitbucket@5d20cd0

Hello, I am trying to get gitbucket going on Ubuntu 18.04 with tomcat 8. I got it installed the first time but it crashed soon after with the following output in catalina.out.

Hi Everyone! Does anyone know where the documentation on REST API for gitbucket may be?
We are trying to retrieve the list of all repo from gitbucket...
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@ss_internalit_twitter Here is the list of REST API supported by GitBucket. Mostly GitHub API compatible but not fully supported.

Docker + GitBucket hands-on meetup will take place in Japan :-)

Is there any guide on how to enable git lfs for gitbucket?
I tried to push a very large repository (4xx MB) with lfs and it was unsuccessful
what can I do to make it success?
Hirohisa Yamaguchi
@umq
is there any post size limit on your deployment?
LowDensity
@LowDensity
@umq Not quite sure, never configured that part. I will check for it .
So LFS should work fine without any extra effort right?
SIkebe
@SIkebe
@LowDensity You need to configure base URL to enable Git-LFS support
Hirohisa Yamaguchi
@umq
e.g. tomcat has maxPostSize limiting post to 2MB by default
https://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-8.0-doc/config/http.html
LowDensity
@LowDensity
@umq I will try that.

@LowDensity
@SIkebe Successfully pushed LFS content, thanks.

Hi everyone.
I don't know how but the root password is not accepted anymore after upgrading to latest version of gitbucket. Other users are still ok.
Is there a way to reset root password?

Also, we have documentation that explains how to reset admin password: https://github.com/gitbucket/gitbucket/wiki/FAQ#10-how-to-reset-admin-password

I cant seem to export H2 db data into a compatible sql file Importing it on mysql doesnt work
please help
Shadowplays4K
@Shadowplays4k
Is there any customisation options for the site name?
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@ss_internalit_twitter There is no doc other than that. Actually, GitBucket doesn't have a functionality for tracing login events for now.
@zainjer Have you tried the data migration procedure described in this doc? https://github.com/gitbucket/gitbucket/wiki/External-database-configuration
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@Shadowplays4k Do you mean GitBucket in the left end of the header? Unfortunately, GitBucket doesn't have such an option. You can do that by modifying the following line and rebuilding from the source code.
https://github.com/gitbucket/gitbucket/blob/e23e11e1a888b63f0d163c3ffc5bab5015216926/src/main/twirl/gitbucket/core/main.scala.html#L66

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how we set up the templates for the Pull Requests with ISSUE_TEMPLATE?
I tried to follow what is explained here but it doesn't work:
https://gitbucket.github.io/gitbucket-news/gitbucket/2017/01/29/gitbucket-4.9.html

@SouenMazouin
NB: i'm currently using gitbucket v 4.33

@SouenMazouin ISSUE_TEMPLATE.markdown and ISSUE_TEMPLATE.md work. It's probably a bug that ISSUE_TEMPLATE doesn't work. Would you raise an issue on GitHub?
