woah ! It is much, much faster indeed !
instant loading
and, I suppose that gitbucket/java are doing regular gc to avoid the ram usage just blasting up through the roof
Jookia
@Jookia
Yeah with the speed increase and usable accessibility by not using complicated widgets, GitBucket is getting some good use over here :) So at some point I'll have to start fixing a11y bugs to polish things up

I have created a PR that implements the following API.

would webhooks be a good alternative way to send notifications to an irc channel ? Would things used to send github webhooks over irc also work with gitbucket considering it's almost the same api ?

Hi,
I have a question regarding encrypted LDAP connections:
I am using an IBM JVM which lacks the module/class "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider"
and as a result users cannot log in.
Is there a way to make this work?
Best Regards

@umq
Is your keystore configured correctly to handle your LDAP servers’ certificate?
Jookia
@Jookia
@takezoe Do you have any software that works with GitBucket webhooks? They seem to break
Jookia
@Jookia
Hmm. All the sessions are expiring when restarting Gitbucket :\

Would it be possible to have the ability to delete a file from the GUI? That way when necessary it could be possible to clean up the repo without having to git clone it.
xogium
@xogium
I'm unclear as to how I can potentially limit who can for example merge for a repository in an organsation/group… Aren't all members by default considered as developpers ?
in a group I can only select manager or member as role
dsdphh
@dsdphh
@umq yepp, the keystore is configured correctly
xogium
@xogium
in a reposotory's settings I can restrict things to developers only
*repository
I want to avoid things like all devs deciding to merge their work in the repo, and go with a pull request based method
is that doable with gitbucket ? Also fairly new to git in general so excuse my possible ignorance
xogium
@xogium
also is it possible to have a 'reply via email' function ?

@ss_internalit_twitter You can already delete a file from GUI.
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@xogium Currently, GitBucket cannot restrict merging PR. Theoretically, developers who have permission to push to the remote repository can merge any branches on local and can push them. Therefore, restricting only merging PR is meaningless. Rather, we need to restrict the branch protection with detailed permission control. Actually, the lack of detailed permission control is one of long-standing issues in GitBucket, but it requires to redesign the entire permission model of GitBucket.

@takezoe
Regarding replying by email, it requires integration with a mail server. I don't have a plan to implement such integration on GitBucket for now. However, GitBucket has a Web API for creating issue/pull request comment. It would be possible to implement such integration as an external tool which is triggered by email.
Jookia
@Jookia
@takezoe Is there a way to deploy Gitbucket so it keeps sessions between restarts?
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
In my experience, Tomcat + GitBucket kept sessions at least. All typical servlet containers serialize sessions, but the embedded jetty may not...?
Jookia
@Jookia
Hmm. Perhaps not

I do not see the little trashcan to delete. I'm using the 4.33.0. Is it in the master the feature to delete files from the GUI?
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
@ss_internalit_twitter You need to sign in and your account needs to have write permission to the repository.
Jookia
@Jookia
Woo, ton of PRs opened including a new feature: --save_sessions command line argument that will save your sessions to disk. Maybe it should be default, I don't know.
This is useful for our case where we run the war file and reverse proxy it through nginx :)
Naoki Takezoe
@takezoe
Thanks! Merged it.

Does anyone here freelance such that I can pay them to implement the pull request API?

@achyuthgroot
Hi I have a small doubt, is it possible to clone the gitbucket repo's in source tree or something ?
Jookia
@Jookia
what do you mean?
Achyuth
@achyuthgroot
@Jookia we have installed gitbucket. and we created a repository in it. My question is how can I clone this repo in gitDesktop or source tree ?
Jookia
@Jookia
@achyuthgroot : Isn't there a clone button in the web ui that gives a URL?
Achyuth
@achyuthgroot
@Jookia correct it is there, but we have enabled 2fa so we can clone only through ssh. But we are not able to add our user to any of the above GUI tools.

@btlogy
Hi there. DON'T try it on a production instance, but I was wondering if anyone came across this issue #2479 ?
Though, production should not be running on H2... Of course :-p
Jookia
@Jookia
@achyuthgroot I'm not sure, I haven't used them. Does it require some kind of API gitbucket doesn't implement?
@btlogy yikes, looks like you got a big one :D

Does anyone have an opinion about gitbucket/gitbucket#2423 I'm considering whether this should be included in the next release.

Hi all.
I was creating an API for PR merge, but one problem occurred.
Can you give me some advice as I have created a draft PR #2482 ?

I need to trigger Jenkins pipeline job item through commit/push done in GitBukcet. I have configured webhook in GitBucket. But job is not getting trigger. However if I create Freestyle job then the job is getting triggered for any commit/push in Gitbucket. In Freestyle job 'Build Trigger' section, there is checkbox for "Build when a change is pushed to GitBucket", but this checkbox is not in Pipeline job 'Build Trigger' section. Please let me know how can I trigger Pipeline job after doing commit/push to gitbukcet
rahulkrjain
@rahulkrjain
With above issue, in Pipeline job 'Build Trigger' section, "Build when a change is pushed to GitBucket" checkbox is not there, So I selected "GitHub hook trigger for GITScm polling" checkbox.
