    @Sebohe not sure. mind sending me link(s) and i'll c heck it out?
    also - i need to remember to keep this tab open. slack (despite all its flaws) has a desktop app which is nice
    Granted, I'm still learning how to use gitcoin. on the first one I put my e-mail and github profile. The second one I just used my github profile.
    Kevin Owocki
    @owocki
    ah, i think you just found a bug @Sebohe
    deploying a fix now
    Sebastian Bolaños
    @sebohe
    Hahaha, sweet, can you show me the fix?
    heres the fix => gitcoinco/web@adebbbb

    @harlantwood
    FYI the web3.py issues seem to point to the wrong repo: https://github.com/pipermerriam/web3.py/ ( should be: https://github.com/ethereum/web3.py/ ) -- to repro, visit (eg) https://gitcoin.co/funding/details?url=https://github.com/pipermerriam/web3.py/issues/339 and click "View on Github" --> 404 not found
    may be more complex than what I said, but def some issue there ;)
    also, nice project!
    Kevin Owocki
    @owocki
    hi @harlantwood thanks for the heads up. i discovered this a few days ago, but am unable to update because the blockchain is immutable
    i guess i could write some filter and put it in the code level, but that just feels super hacky
    Kevin Owocki
    @owocki
    @harlantwood i just put in a fix for this :)
    Sebastian Bolaños
    @sebohe
    @owocki gitcoinco/gitcoinco#1 is a pretty cool idea.
    Kevin Owocki
    @owocki
    @Sebohe thanks. we'll see if anyone turns it around.
    i think a mesh network of developers 'recruit'ing each other p2p is much more powerful than an army of spammy linkedin recruiters with loose relationships

    gitcoin proposed to install Chrome extension for my Firefox. Huh
    Also could it paste my address automatically?
    Kevin Owocki
    @owocki
    @techtonik not sure i understand the question
    nothing on the site should auto-prompt you to install the chrome ext

    hi @empea-careercriminal !
    fwiw, the slack is much more active. https://gitcoin.co/slack

    @ltfschoen
    I’d be happy to recruit a more experience dev p2p who can show me how to properly incorporate middleware using web3.py in my repo and to properly listen to events triggered by solidity contracts https://github.com/ltfschoen/pyethfinality
    Luke Schoen
    @ltfschoen
    Same goes for this repo where I’ve used web3.js (I’m stronger at JS) and can’t figure out how to capture data of solidity contract events in the middleware so I can respond to the front-end with it (I can only manage to grab the transaction number) https://github.com/peerism/peerai-api
    Kevin Owocki
    @owocki
    sorry for the slow response.
    it might be worth checking the https://gitter.im/pipermerriam/web3.py channel about this
    oops this is the new link https://gitter.im/ethereum/web3.py
    Protinam
    @protinam
    Hi there - I'm working on the Wyvern DAO (https://dao.projectwyvern.com), which might like to fund bounties on Gitcoin directly.
    Where should I find the smart contracts with which to interface with Gitcoin on-chain (i.e., developer documentation)? Looked through https://gitcoin.co/help but didn't see that, maybe I missed it.
    Will that work (i.e. be reflected in the Gitcoin UI) or is some offchain submission also necessary?
    Oh, this channel seems empty, I'll try the Slack.
    Kevin Owocki
    @owocki
    hi @protinam thanks for stopping by.. i see your comment about this in gitcoin.co/slack now :) and responded there.. do you prefer gitter or slack?

    Hi, I tried to follow the readme to set up gitcoin locally for testing. I end up with this error, any clue on what is going on? Thanks `Collecting secp256k1 (from ethereum<2.0.0,>=1.6.1->eth-testrpc>=1.3.0->populus->-r requirements/base.txt (line 18))
