Thanks to @jsmanrique_gitlab@rpaik_gitlab and @dplanella for joining the Heroes Hangout. Special thanks to Manrique for sharing the great work he's doing to help others during the crisis. Grateful for the Monday morning inspiration.

Thank you for hosting the meeting! It's been great!!!
Hope you had a great call. Unfortunately I had no time to join.
Ah, missed it :P
I will schedule another for next week.
Awesome, will keep a watch on this channel :)
I also missed it! Glad to see people are still connecting
It was fun and great to hang out! Thanks John for organizing it and to those who could make it.
We just scheduled a remote meetup with @nmeisenzahl on April 7 at 4pm UTC. I'm also working to plan a meetup at an APAC friendly time with @VladimirAus in the coming days/weeks. Stay tuned for reminders and more details. If you'd like to speak at a GitLab meetup or organize a GitLab meetup for your local community/time zone - please let me know! Happy to help you get something scheduled.
Is there a meetup.com page or something similar?
I don’t think so. John is working on a Zoom registration page.
But I like the idea. What do you think @johncoghlan_gitlab
Who is the intended audience? How is this marketed?
Somehow I missed the last one too, is there a central place where these are organised?
Re: the meetups - right now we are using Zoom registration pages for the meetups. For the first meetup, the registration link was shared via social media and a Meetup message to all members of GitLab meetup groups. Following Meetup.com's announcement that they have released a feature for online events, we will also invite our GitLab Meetup organizers to create event pages for these remote meetups going forward.
The previous online meetup was organized by GitLab, not tied to a group. Meetup Groups are still tied to a location so a "global" meetup group is imperfect but perhaps worth further consideration.
We will continue to evaluate our options for remote meetups but I wanted to get moving with the tools we have and iterate from there.
