What is the best language to start coding?
Julian Gonggrijp
"Best" is subjective and depends on personal circumstances and preferences. If you're looking for a suggestion, though, I suggest Python or JavaScript. Python is friendly to beginners but also fit for professional productivity. JavaScript works natively in browsers, so you don't need to install any new software and you can get tinkering with graphical user interfaces very quickly (if you add HTML).
hey i have some code that is not working
its in python
can someone pls help
when i try to run main.py it says that my function in TextFX/type.py takes 1 or 3 arguments when i have defined for it to have 2
Julian Gonggrijp

@The-Destroyer-99 type is a built-in function. You can override it but then you have to type from TextFX.type import type at the top of main.py.

In general, I wouldn't recommend overriding built-in functions, so you might want to rename your type function.

okk thx
im lazy. will someone do my homework pls?
Julian Gonggrijp
@The-Destroyer-99 This is not a homework service.

Hey there

I was wondering if anyone knows a library for weighted/scored sorting of objects. Preferably in Ruby :D But Python is also good as a reference

Julian Gonggrijp
@Liberatys Do you mean "sorting by score"? Otherwise I don't think I've heard of this weighted/scored sorting before.

@jgonggrijp thanks for replying. I need help on almost everything I'm kinda starting with html, css and JavaScript and I've studied a bit on HTML and I think I'm getting most of it right but I'm not really going anywhere on the css and JavaScript
Julian Gonggrijp

@marvlyn almost everything is quite a lot. :-)

Perhaps you can pick one of the things you're currently getting stuck on and ask about that. It could be a small piece of code that doesn't work.

Okay I don't know how to work with css

Hi everyone My name is Vishwas.
I had started a weekly newsletter called Console. Please, everyone, have look at the newsletter and give your valuable feedback to make Console more informative.
Console is a free weekly round-up of open-source projects. It’s all about free, useful, innovative software, and the developers that are dedicating their precious time to creating and maintaining it.
Please subscribe and also let me know how can we improve it.
Julian Gonggrijp
@Vicky45Dev I like it. The articles about the open source projects are a bit short, while the stars and forks statistics aren't terribly interesting in my opinion. Brevity is a value, but perhaps highlight one project with a little bit more background and reduce the other projects to just a list.
