@spectie:matrix.org sure, which is why i suggest using :
@spectie:matrix.org but i mean, it could be any delimiter that isn't escaped weirdly
@spectie:matrix.org i mean, the ideal thing would be not to have people have to memorise a completely new url scheme
@spectie:matrix.org even something like gitter://gitter.im/KurdishNLP/community and irc://irc.freenode.net/#apertium
@spectie:matrix.org would be better
@spectie:matrix.org protocol://server/path is something that is reasonably intuitive to the majority of nerds here like myself
@spectie:matrix.org there is one for IRC:
@spectie:matrix.org https://www.iana.org/assignments/uri-schemes/prov/irc
@spectie:matrix.org but not one for gitter
https://github.com/jwaladiamonds/gitty-chat-ios
In the above project, i am confused with which messaging api to use. Can anyone help?
Stream API or Faye API or default Gitter API?
dstaley oh shoot
I'm curious, why are gitter usernames so long when seen from Matrix?
E.g. why is Matthew's name @ar4n-54478bc8db8155e6700cd7b1:gitter.im instead of just @ar4n:gitter.im?
