I made it work, really, I just googled libudev and found a solution, see, in the Linux gitter app, the libudev thing is just a symlink, but the symlink is broken in newer ubuntu versions due to the libudev.0 being removed, so I just created a symlink from the new libudev to the old one.
like so: sudo ln -s /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libudev.so.1 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libudev.so.0
by the way, this is where I got the answer to this dilemma: https://github.com/nwjs/nw.js/wiki/The-solution-of-lacking-libudev.so.0

@jkay89 thanks for that, we'll investigate this ourselves, our package post install script is supposed to do the symlink

I found a way to unload the app and load github into Gitter window. only window.history.back() in console helps. When I pop user hint, the user card appears as tooltip. clicking on username opens her github account and unloads Giiter

@mydigitalself as far as I can tell, the post install scrip does link to a valid libudev file, the problem is the gitter app isn't searching for it in the right place. I added the other link as suggested in #21 and it worked.

What distro are you using
me, I'm on one of two, Linux Mint or Ubuntu 14
On my Mint install there is no libudev.0 only libudev.1
Thus the bitter symlink is invalid

Sorry for the bazillion posts. I'm used to irc where you have a character input limit on some servers
I'm testing a theory. I want to see if it's possible to have a triple boot system.
It looks like it is
