Andrew Zyabin
@schas002
Okay.
Andrew Zyabin
@schas002

Graham Perrin
@grahamperrin
@schas002 I'll invite you to the Matrix room.

Applying for the "most wacky comment" compo with:
# Crenshaw had his expressions being digits from 1 to 9, however, we're using a
# language that has numbers ***WAY HIGHER*** than that. We've got LOTS of
# numbers. So crank. It. **Up**. As far as we can.

Using React really sucks. I was going to try making an incremental game with React, but I can't do it with React.
create-react-app is inconfigurable until I eject, then it doesn't know my purposes, instead instating an inconfigurable "standard style" that is dumb.
I can't use a boilerplate. I don't need to install a hundred packages and link a thousand dependencies to do something that could be done in just a few lines of HTML, CSS and JavaScript without React. (Oh, and package.json.)
Andrew Zyabin
@schas002
React is a library that's meant to create reactive web apps, not to supplement the same goal that's actually done by hundreds of packages.
This needs to stop. Now.
Andrew Zyabin
@schas002
suddenly, the name Gitter makes sense :ghost::
What if you can't/don't want to log in using GitHub or Twitter but still want to chat on Gitter?
grahamperrin @grahamperrin wonders whether this is gitting or geeting.

BREAKING NEWS: Yet another ransomware attacks computers from all around the world.

Asks 300 or 600 $ USD in bitsies.
All Windows systems starting Windows XP should have already been updated with a critical patch update.
Article on Ars Technica (actually discovered from the box).
grahamperrin @grahamperrin thanks @schas002

Staff at my place of work are asked to be "… vigilant if they receive emails from colleagues in the NHS, particularly if the emails contain links to web pages or document attachments. …".
grahamperrin @grahamperrin continues with relaxed use of ZFS :-)
Andrew Zyabin
@schas002
So, I'm still trying to run TrueOS with zero avail. :-(

@schas002
No idea, either ZFS prefetch is dumb (I have exactly 4 GB of RAM on the VM), or the keyboard and mouse are [GIANT-LOCKED], or...
Graham Perrin
@grahamperrin
@schas002 have you tried the TrueOS area? https://gitter.im/trueos :arrow_forward: troubleshooting
Andrew Zyabin
@schas002

@schas002
If you ever happen to want to link against installed libraries in a given directory LIBDIR you must either <...> or use the -LLIBDIR flag during linking and do one of the following:
<...>
  • use the -D__LIBTOOL_IS_A_FOOL__ linker flag

@tkoham
Anyone else here have bosses and consultants tell them they need to 'upgrade infrastructure with blockchain'?
This nonsense is killing me
