    Hi, my name is Oskar and i'm the creator of Glitterly. All things Glitterly go here: feature requests, feedback, bug reports. Anything you need I will provide :)

    This is really neat Oskar! The one thing that I wish a could do is have multiple zoom effects. Right now I have to cut up my clips and then apply the zoom effects one at a time, and then stitch it all back up together which is pretty tedious

    @umar-ahmed
    Just curious, is this using ffmpeg under the hood :smirk: ?
    Oskar Ahlroth
    @AhlrothOskar_twitter
    @umar-ahmed Thanks for the feedback! Yes that's a good idea, will start thinking of how the ui/ux for this should look, as the zoom part itself is quite straightforward.
    Yes running a bunch of FFmpeg scripts in the background through a node.js server :)

    @umar-ahmed
    Nice. Have you thought about maybe running it locally? There's been some work to port ffmpeg to the browser using WebAssembly: https://github.com/ffmpegwasm/ffmpeg.wasm, https://paul.kinlan.me/running-ffmpeg-with-wasm-in-a-web-worker/. Wondering if it might offer time savings for the user and cost savings for you :smile:

    Thanks, yeah haha I was just looking at this previously today
    I'm not sure why I didn't do this from the beginning
    The only concern is the browser support
    as it seems as it's only supported by the two previous chrome versions?

    Just released support for zoom strength --> You can now adjust the scale of the zoom
    Multiple zooms is up next!

    Awesome
    Looking forward to it!

    Only FADE-IN transition available?
    Oskar Ahlroth
    @AhlrothOskar_twitter
    @Ishantanusrivas_twitter for now yes, had to disable the slide transitions as the transformations were putting too much load on the server.
    Will improve them and bring them back :) Probably through https://github.com/transitive-bullshit/ffmpeg-gl-transition

    Hey @AhlrothOskar_twitter , when will multiple zooms be available?
    Oskar Ahlroth
    @AhlrothOskar_twitter
    Hi @gabrielaigner soon, will be done this weekend / early next week
    Gabriel Aigner
    @gabrielaigner
    Great @AhlrothOskar_twitter , thanks!

    @AhlrothOskar_twitter
    @umar-ahmed @gabrielaigner Just released support for having 2x zooms per video clip. Please check it out and let me know what you think: https://app.glitterly.app

    @gabrielaigner
    @AhlrothOskar_twitter Just checked it out! It is great :D

    @AhlrothOskar_twitter Hi Oskar, first thanks for creating this app! Not sure if it's intentional but I can't seem to increase the time length of the zoom. It seems to max out around 3-5 seconds. It seems like a bug to me (tested on Chrome and Firefox)

    I could align multiple zooms to get around it but that's not ideal.

    Oskar Ahlroth
    @AhlrothOskar_twitter
    Hi @sandipagr_twitter, thanks! How many seconds of zoom length do you need? I recently limited it to 5 seconds to allow for multiple zooms as the processing can be quite slow for longer zooms - but the ui is not clear on this part sorry.

    I have a video of 59 seconds and was gonna have the zoomed state for at least 30 seconds at one point :(
    Oskar Ahlroth
    @AhlrothOskar_twitter
    Let me run some tests on this and see how the performance is - a total limit for 30 seconds could work too

    Hi Oskar, nice tool you got there. Feedbacks from me is that, it would be great if we can set up custom dimension for the frame. Because most of my video is recorded directly from mobile.
    Also I wish that i can move around my video to any position inside the frame as well
    Oskar Ahlroth
    @AhlrothOskar_twitter
    Hi @muazz1m_gitlab, thanks! custom dimensions as in selecting e.g. 720p, 1080p or formats such as portrait (9:16), square (1:1), widescreen (16:9)?
    Moving and resizing the video inside the frame is a good idea thanks - it would allow for images with e.g a iphone X and you could resize your video to fit inside the iphone screen
    muazz1m
    @muazz1m_gitlab
    Custo
    Custom dimensions means format such as portrait
    Square n widescreen
    Oskar Ahlroth
    @AhlrothOskar_twitter
    @muazz1m_gitlab thanks let me see what I can do. Currently working on this effect: https://twitter.com/sulco/status/1297882082430132232 -- E.g. fade out and in everything on a video except for a selected portion.
    Will get to the dimensions after

    Hi @AhlrothOskar_twitter , pretty cool tool. Like the simplicity and the potential. How do I know if my video is being uploaded? I select upload but I don't see any indicators or even an error
    Dimitri Harding
    @dimitriharding
    Seems like it was a stale browser issue. I reloaded the tab and it loaded instantly 🤷🏾‍♂️

    Hi @dimitriharding, great thanks working on version 2 now - it will be 10x better than this :sweat_smile:
