MTecknology on Freenode Will gitea create more log files that gitea.log http.log xorm.log? I assume error.log might be created?

Hello guys, I'm sure you have answered this question 10 times but as there is no communication, nobody knows where we are standing. When are you planning on releasing 1.1.1? It's been completed 100% for days now
There are some quite serious bugs fixed in the version, it seems important to me to release it

@lunny remember when we were working on the dump cmd to different database formats (#740)? I just tried a sqlite3 to postgres dump but the sequences are still wrong (initial values, causing conflicts on INSERTs). Should we reopen #740 or do you want me to make a new issue?

strk on Freenode we really need an official "release manager"

strk on Freenode MichaeldeWitGitt: not really, I'm a part of many non-enterprise teams having release managers :)

I'm not convinced we need a specific person to do that though,
I honestly believe that with the correct project structure and tooling there's no need for someone to manage this
Most of that stuff is already in place for Gitea

strk on Freenode it's about taking responsibility, not about ability to do it

why not automate it
The only thing that's missing IMO is a (semi) automated release cycle of like a week (or two). This does require us, however, to keep track of whether a change is just a bugfix, a new feature, or a breaking change (so semver versioning can be automated).
releases will be quick, small, and generally painless

strk on Freenode it's aleady all automate as far as I know. It just takes defining a tag
strk on Freenode and I still think it takes an official role to pull that trigger ...

datawolf on Freenode I'm thinking about switching from Gogs to Gitea. What is the process for backing up before version updates? Is it the same as with Gogs?
datawolf on Freenode I see that there is a dump command, but no restore command yet. Can I just manually replace files from a new install with the corresponding files from the dump?
