@Unknwon i just took the last master from GitHub. Copied the labels and configs etc. then put them into the new gogs folder. Needed to copy the gogs Startscript too. Then ran ./gogs web. Just got Info gogs version 0.11....

@Unknwon
@FlorianTaut copy what labels and config? You don't need to "copy" any file for using Gogs
F Taut
@FlonTaut
@Unknwon i just followed the docs. Upgrading from source i think was the category.

@Unknwon
OK, but again, define "didn't work"

Vincent FRICOU
@vfricou
Hello, Normally, you could configure that at gogs installation.
Ghost
@ghost~54c13c6ddb8155e6700ef9ef
there is no default admin user, the first created user will be the admin
Tobias Herrmann Hinz
@HerrmannHinz

Hi all, I've created a snap package for gogs and am wondering whether there is any interest in having the packaging information merged to the gogs repository.
yoshiserry
@yoshiserry

hi do you any of you know a gitter channel where I could ask a git related question. I want to understand how a repository has formed or formatted their releases.

Specifically how MDO has created:
1) what looks like a label for the release ‘pre release’ in orange
2) what I woud call the release notes but which is highlights (with a link to an issue containing the full detail of the release).

Ghost
@ghost~54c13c6ddb8155e6700ef9ef
@yoshiserry this orange pre release is just a checkbox within github releases to mark it as a pre release or not, nothing else.
Richard Bukovansky
@rbukovansky
@yoshiserry 1) These questions are more about GitHub than about git. Regarding your 2) Those release notes are manually entered during creating of release. So you need to learn Markdown and then properly enter the description of release.
Ghost
@ghost~54c13c6ddb8155e6700ef9ef
@rbukovansky you can also enter these release notes as part of tagging, than they will also appear like that.
Krutonium
@Krutonium
So I installed gogs through packager.io... Where is the config file?
yoshiserry
@yoshiserry
@tboerger Thanks - I’m confident writing markdown just not entering the release notes as part of tagging. I’ve only managed to create and or annotate tags. Not enter release notes as part of tagging.
Can you explain how you enter release notes as part of tagging?
Ghost
@ghost~54c13c6ddb8155e6700ef9ef
@yoshiserry if you are signing your tags (git tag -s v1.0.0) it's opening an editor for a message (release notes) and if you don't want to sign your tags (but you should gpg sign your tags) you can also use git tag -a.
and if you create a release on github it will use this annotation as a default value for the release notes.
Krutonium
@Krutonium
Can anyone tell me how to do this? I still can't even figure out where the program itself is actually installed, let alone the config file...
Andrey Nering
@andreynering
@PFCKrutonium Maybe try using it without packager.io?
I never used it...
Should be as simple as extracting a folder, configuring as a service and basic config (database, etc.)
Krutonium
@Krutonium
Packager installs it all, just... Like, theres' nowhere in the admin panel even to find out where config is being read from :/

my be i'm blind? than point me out such a thing, please!

Ghost
@ghost~54c13c6ddb8155e6700ef9ef
Than you won't get ssh access to Gogs repositories
Krutonium
@Krutonium
Is there a way in the UI to find where my config file is?

Hi All, correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like to me that I can't add comments to lines on PR's any more, I'm pretty sure that worked before, and it's look like not available anymore, did I missed something or this is by design ?
Ghost
@ghost~54c13c6ddb8155e6700ef9ef
@sso-only this never worked because this have not been implemented.
sso-only
@sso-only
Hmm interesting, I was sure I used it, is there a github issue on the gogs project / feature request around this ?
I mean here https://github.com/gogits/gogs/issues I don't want to create duplicate but I can't read ~500 issue :S
sso-only
@sso-only
and one more question, what is the reason for the "dont send pull request" labels ? is that something already in progress, or don't want to implement or what's the deal with them ?
