Hi everybody
is there a java graphql client? or has anybody already done that?

graphql boils down to JSON over HTTP in most cases
so there are plenty of HTTP clients and many json parsers
in Java land

are you after a generated “java client” based on a partcular schema?
I personally used https://github.com/skevy/graphiql-app as an interactive client as I develop
its not a runtime client however - more a dev tool

not necessarily a generated "java client", but it'd be good to build queries from Java Code

best practice says you graphql queries are static strings that take parameters

most likely a client to simplify building queries and parsing responses

so a hard code string is ussually enough
for the query text
then you need to HTTP send it
and JSON parse the response

i am doing the JSON-Parsing using Jackson right now
but i need a generic solution for all of my micro services
maybe i will just build one if there is none
i was unable to convince my team to use react/apollo in frontend, now i need to do this :worried:
