    Hi guys, I was thinking maybe it would be useful to reopen this discussion on giving more visibility to the community page: OSGeo/grass-website#245 . Also think it may be benefitial to try to give some additional visibility to this gitter so that people actually join and community gets started, like having a banner or something, otherwise users may not be aware of it.

    @veroandreo
    I have just added the link there in the Q&A and chat section
    and we are discussing how to shuffle menus and sub-menus to make community more visible, suggestions welcome in the issue you mentioned or a new one

    Info:
    In GitHub, the milestone "8.4.0" has been renamed to "8.3.0" (https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/milestone/13) following the adoption of full semantic versioning.

    Hi everyone. I was having a look at the Dockerfile and noticed that it still depends on ubuntu:18.04 and that there are dependencies related to missing packages in newer ubuntu releases (libpdal-plugin-python)

    Also there are compilation flags set in the Dockerfile that might not apply to other architectures (arm64) and compilers (CLANG)
    Is there a motivation for this ? I'm asking as I'm working with a colleague in porting grass to M1/Arm64 and would also like to have the Docker builds working on Linux-ARM64 docker containers

    Please feel free to suggest updates! No particular reason (just a lack of time, I suppose...).

    I will prepare a pull request, the ideea is that I was not sure about the motivation for using 18:04. I'm still not familiar with the workflow expected by the community but i suppose I will fix that

    It was put there some years ago and then forgotten to update to a recent version.

    Is it normal to get gdk warnings for missing assets (arrows, mostly)?
    Markus Neteler
    @neteler
    I suppose that some code cleanup is desired...

    hey guys, about the website , I was thinking amm, there are the cards at the bottom of the page, and the one that has the grass logo is directing to the /brand page. Think it could be used to point to another place, or used in another way. Maybe at least point to another place, like /learn or something....
    imagen.png
    also, another thing, most pages have the breadcrums , I feel that we could just remove those, as navigation is not that difficult anyways (there's not much nesting : /.../.../.../..), but the breadcrums use some vertical space that may be better used for the main content of the page
    posting here as think it may be faster/quicker to discuss and later make a more formal proposal in github
    nobeeakon
    @nobeeakon
    on a second thought maybe even remove the name of the section too (on top of the breadcrums), it is using a lot of vertical space
    Veronica Andreo
    @veroandreo
    I agree with you regarding the link pointing to brand. Perhaps we could highlight the community page there with a small text saying connect with the community or so and point to about/community
    Personally, however, i do like to know where I am in the site and i also like the section title
    In any case, if you want to come up with a proposal for that, feel free to do so, we can then decide if we agree with/like it or not
    I'd prefer to get other things done first, like the search 🔍 or the commercial support, for example
    nobeeakon
    @nobeeakon
    cool, thanks @veroandreo I'll create a couple of PRs for that then and one for the search. Amm, for the commercial support, I see this issue (OSGeo/grass-website#34), but not sure about the content and location that page should have (should it be /about/commercial?)

    hey there, Is there any input rast map of the r.massmov? Why r.massmov is always going wrong on my computer?
    Markus Neteler
    @neteler

    If you look at the manual page, the "required" maps are the input maps to be specified:

    https://grass.osgeo.org/grass-stable/manuals/addons/r.massmov.html

    --> "The required inputs can be classified in three categories...".
    nobeeakon
    @nobeeakon
    @tjwcg could you please share an example of how you are calling the module and what you mean by 'wrong' output?
