Can anyone tell me where the up-to-date doc for building CUDA plugins is?

Failed to validate solution at height 7048, hash e4b2bf70, edge_bits 19, nonce 10925132175329987146, job_id 4: cuckoo size too small
got this every time
how to fix it?
hashmap
@hashmap
@wp-user you somehow run cuckoo19, you need cuckaroo29 or cuckatoo31, is your grin-miner up to date? or grin-miner.toml?

@wp-user
0.5.0

plugin_name = "cuckaroo_cpu_compat_29" crashing

find solution. this shit need much more system ram, at least 12gb
amd fx 8520 8core take on cocko19 100gps, but on cocko31 only 0.14, fkn shit

seems the grin wallet crashes on verify_slate_messages when trying to receive payment from grinmint

Quick one guys. I can see that the Cuckaroo Cuda solvers require 7GB+ GPU memory. Does that mean a card with 6GB is not usable at all?
John Tromp
@tromp
i have reduced it to 5.5 GB
just some bug left to track down
hopefully ready tomorrowe

@tromp amazing news!
Peter Salanki
@salanki
So the regular mean cuckaroo 29 miner will now work on a 6GB GPU? That changes things
Wayne George
@waynegeorge
Awesome, I'll check back. Thanks

@skingun
Hello! Can gringoldminer select between cuckaroo29 and cuckatoo31?
My floonet wallet is reporting cuckoo size 31.
If not possible I will revert to linux miner.

@dbl_twitter
Im not sure that reducing it to 6gb is a great idea. The amount of nvidia 1060 cards out there with 6gb is fucking massive. Thats literally ever big commercial farm.
engmsf
@engmsf
@tromp Hey John, would it make sense to create a quick table for everyone as a grin miner guide to what cuck* plug-in is recommended for what configuration (graphics cards, cpu, etc) and why it is recommended. This might cut out much of the questions, which could be many, as we get closer to mainnet. I know this would help me LOL.
Peter Salanki
@salanki
@dbl_twitter: Since it's not an algorithm change someone would have figured it out in private anyway, so better to have it in public. Potentially the algorithm could be changed if the same complexity as before wants to be maintained.
engmsf
@engmsf
@dbl_twitter I agree with you. The Nvidia P106-100 are everywhere. That would cause the initial mainnet total GPS to be massive. Solo mining would be prohibitive. Maybe delay the 6gb for a few weeks/month.
John Tromp
@tromp
@dbl_twitter better that 6GB miner is public than private
skingun
@skingun
mining with 2x 2080ti getting 5.5gps with each card but not finding blocks
Peter Salanki
@salanki
@skingun: Impressive graphrate
what clocks and PL?
skingun
@skingun
mining with GGM power at 80% clocks stock. cards are watercooled.
John Tromp
@tromp
@engmsf depends on your AT31 performance, your AR29 performance, and current AR_scale
skingun
@skingun
graph rate may be impressive but results are sub par if grin pool is showing true network gpm
John Tromp
@tromp
but unless you have a [12]080 Ti, the former will be very bad so you're stuck mining AR29
Peter Salanki
@salanki
@tromp: Can the same optimizations that you just applied to C29 be applied to C31?
engmsf
@engmsf
@tromp I still vote for the 6gb implementation to be delayed for a week or two after mainnet.
Peter Salanki
@salanki
@engmsf: The problem with that is that the cat is out of the bag now. Someone else can find the optimizations and do it only for their huge farm without releasing it to the public.
skingun
@skingun
@salanki I have 400 accepted shares and no blocks. I guess I just let this thing run overnight?
John Tromp
@tromp
@salanki alrd done
skingun
@skingun
blocks came quicker on testnet 1 and 2
engmsf
@engmsf
@salanki Right I understand.
skingun
@skingun
I've been away and didn't test 3 and 4
Peter Salanki
@salanki
@tromp: That what's get it to 11G mem requirement?
Dan Saltman
@dbl_twitter
If someone made a 6gb miner when the memory cap was 8gb, doesnt that mean by lowering it now we should expect one for 4gb?
John Tromp
@tromp
4gb will be possible only with nontrivial performance penalty
Dan Saltman
@dbl_twitter
so, to be clear- gone is the mantra that this coin would only be mineable by people with high end cards and gamers.
John Tromp
@tromp
@engmsf no delay. fairness requires optimal miners public at launch
Dan Saltman
@dbl_twitter
1060s is one thing, opening it up to 4gb cards is another ball park
