@g011um_gitlab
@tromp I thought I was running the latest miner (1.0.2)
yes, I estimated the fidelty at 0.74, which closely matches what the pool is reporting over the long run
Martin Pospěch ⚡🌮
@martin_pospech_twitter
fidelity over 1 in your example is just a fluke, right?
John Tromp
@tromp
yes, that's just an overestimated fidelity
Gianluca Mazza
@gianlucamazza
how do i calculate the difficulty for my stratum proxy?
i get a lot of refused low diff shares
cryptoscity
@cryptoscity
how long does it take for 5 block to finish.. i just start mining but i can see my stat yet.

@graemes_gitlab thx! so fidelity seems under 0.7

@huglester_twitter
if I have 14 GPS for C31.
how much % chance do i have to hit a block?
Mike Dallas
@mcdallas
over 9000
huglester
@huglester_twitter
so every 9000th block?
Mike Dallas
@mcdallas
@huglester_twitter this is dev chat
Precipice Beholder
@precipicebeholder_gitlab
He's joking... Your question is undefined. % chance per what? Day, year, millisecond? Anyway, that's a question for support chat
huglester
@huglester_twitter
OK:) but question was per day
newtownf1
@newtownf1
lol 9000000000000 % chance

Hello Everybody,
I need an experienced nodejs developer able to make some changes to an already existing platform runnnig a stratum proxy.
If someone is interested and has skill pm :)

Are there any docs for a standard QR code URI format?

@hendi

Is there only one floonet explorer now? I found https://floonet.grinscan.net/

There's also https://floonet.grinexplorer.net/ @sesam

@martin_pospech_twitter
i want to write a miner to properly grok cuckoo cycle. i have seen the talk and the paper, but a couple things are not clear to me:
how do we arrive at the bipartite graph to trim? is it based on the header of the block we are creating?
Photon
@phooton
@martin_pospech_twitter You hash block header with Blake2 and that hash is input for all the siphashes that generate graph
sal-ash
@sal-ash
Hey guys
Any dev interested in jumping on a ive stream
For world crypro network...to answer some tech questions for Grin..it will be wednesday or Thursday around 2-3 pm utc
John Tromp
@tromp
@martin_pospech_twitter the header (part up to pow) is hashed with blake2b to obtain siphash keys
ah, as @phooton said:)
Simon B.
@sesam
https://github.com/mimblewimble/docs/wiki/Code-coverage-and-metrics if anyone is interested. Speficically I'm most interested in your hunches and thoughts on where grin is most likely to be missing some tests.
hughlang
@hughlang
Hi devs. Are the latest commits in master safe to use? How do we get notified about recommended updates?
Antioch Peverell
@antiochp
hey @hughlang master should always be in a buildable/deployable state for mainnet
1.0.1 will be the next (first) recommended update, timing is still TBD
hughlang
@hughlang
Thanks. I am seeing a collapse in the number of peers right now
"all 6454 = 154 healthy + 0 banned + 6300 defunct"
hughlang
@hughlang
And a lot of log messages like this: "DEBUG grin_p2p::peer - Client 67.190.225.117:3414 connection lost: Connection(Custom { kind: ConnectionAborted, error: StringError("read_exact") })"
