    Trying to start my grin miner and it crashes immediately with an OPENCL error. Error executing function: clEnqueueFillBuffer. Any ideas?

    FYI - The MacOS grim-miner v0.5.2 release doesn't ship with opencl plugins. (Seems to only ship with CPU plugins.)

    @bgupta
    whew, I got CPU mining working with local stratum. Now that I can incrementally get to my preferred config (GPU mining w/ pool)
    Are there any instructions for getting OpenCL working on MacOS?
    Brian Gupta
    @bgupta
    I have come to the conclusion that the binary release for the miner, should come with OpenCL plugins.

    @bgupta
    I'm segfaulting with OpenCL.

    has anyone been successful getting two RTX 2070 working in Linux? I have two and cant get them both recognized at the same time, though they work individually..
    dmesg says
    [ 98.874740] NVRM: RmInitAdapter failed! (0x24:0x65:1090)
    [ 98.874821] NVRM: rm_init_adapter failed for device bearing minor number 1

    Please note for CPU mining on a 6core (hyperthreaded) Xeon Mac Pro, my miner is crashing if I set numthreads above 4.
    Brian Gupta
    @bgupta
    Any reason not to run 2 grim-miner processes on the same mac? (I'm doing it because setting numthreads higher than 4 is causing crashes)

    @apruden2008 your over clocks are to high or your plugins is wrong

    @holderwhale999
    anyone can say about that ?

    @apruden2008
    @joemarkets thanks. I haven't overclocked the GPU so it must be the plugins

    Everyone mining on Grinmint as explained here https://blog.blockcypher.com/announcing-grinmints-production-release-a29dec1e3d35 Grinmint is going to be upgraded. Users/shares/workers will be reset.

    @mcdallas you said 'you can split your 200 output to 10 outputs of 20 grin each' - if i want to send 3 grin to 5 people and have 200, can i split 200 into 185 3 3 3 3 3? You've lost me a bit, is there some example of the -o option you can point me at? help page for send suggests -o is mainly for testing.
    Mike Dallas
    @mcdallas
    -o splits your change to N equal outputs

    Hey all, Im on the testnet now, is there a faucet, or an easy way to obtain some testnet grin?
    anyone have any grin they can throw me?
    is there a faucet or do I need to obtain it from a mining pool?
    Just want to test sending some grin around
    bergr01
    @bergr01
    @mcdallas so to minimize amount of Grins locked when sending small amounts I should split my wallet holdings into 1 grin outputs?
    Mike Dallas
    @mcdallas
    sure if you dont mind the fees

    hello!
    is it enough downloading grin-miner-v0.5.2-478277646-osx.tgz for mining on osx? or is there something else that has to be downloaded/configured?

    hmm, trying to connect to my stratum server. It seems to login alright and connect, but im getting Exception in # stratumConnect.sc line: 459" error and it wont get past *starting

    I'll ask again if anyone got GPU mining working on MacOS (prefer OpenCL instructions if they exist.)

    @apruden2008
    @joemarkets solved...I’d accidentally uncommented the ASIC section of the grin-miner.toml. Thanks for you’re assistance

    i'm mining on grinmint with two GPUs getting almost 8 GPS each but the web portal only shows my current hashrate at ~14. anyone know what's up with that?
    @quentinlesceller --^ thanks for any info :)
    also wondering when i should expect to start seeing immature balance and/or unpaid balance. i have around 1600 solutions found, though neither worker has found a block.
    Codeb Fan
    @codeb2cc
    Coinbase is immature in 1440 blocks. Then you will see the balance.
    Elliott Bernstein
    @elliottbernstein
    got it @codeb2cc but since there's a field called "Immature Balance" i would expect some balance to show up there just for being part of the mining pool before 1440 blocks.
    just like it does in the CLI wallet
    Codeb Fan
    @codeb2cc
    How long have you been mining?
    You should be able to see some immature balance if you see shares already.
    Gurt
    @gurts_gitlab
    @elliottbernstein all blocks are fake until main-net launch
    Codeb Fan
    @codeb2cc
    I guess they have some batch job to calculate the submits and acount the shares and balance.
    Gurt
    @gurts_gitlab
    @elliottbernstein also gps may take time to reflect actual GPS, sometimes 30 minutes to a couple hours
    @codeb2cc , no; they will have 0 immature balance until main-net launch
    Elliott Bernstein
    @elliottbernstein
    thanks @gurts_gitlab i read that as well but maybe didn't understand what it means fully. so does that mean i shouldn't expect any balances to appear in my account?
    Codeb Fan
    @codeb2cc
    Ah, they have entered some kind of maintain mode for the mainnet.
    Elliott Bernstein
    @elliottbernstein
    (for now)
    Gurt
    @gurts_gitlab
    Correct; no more test net coins from grinmint
    Elliott Bernstein
    @elliottbernstein
    gotcha thanks :) my hashrate is definitely coming through, does appear to be delayed. do wish i could see whether or not i was getting credit for participating in the pool but ¯_(ツ)_/¯
    Gurt
    @gurts_gitlab
    Hashrate is computed from shares found, so it is a lagging indicator compared to what your local miner will say
