@guilhermehartmann
but still only 2 gb of ram
rajuchinthalapati
@rajuchinthalapati
that is correct, but do we need two? It seems that we can deduct some of the unnecessary things
yes
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
it's unecessary for sure
the ideal one for us would be like the one from scan
rajuchinthalapati
@rajuchinthalapati
otherwise we can buy on our own, we need not go through this channel. As long as the price in within our budget that is fine with Oxford's ISIS.
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
we could take the spec from scan and give it to them
rajuchinthalapati
@rajuchinthalapati
you mean the second file incubator_server?
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
checking
Intel Xeon 2.20GHz 6 Core Processor - four (4)
eight (8) GB RDIMM 1600MHz Memory - Two (2)
146GB SAS 15K Hard Drives
Mirrored and Four (4) 300GB SAS 15K Hard Drives ina RAID5 configuration (All Hard Drives are Hot Swap)
DVD/RW - IDRAC7
Entreprise Management Card - Four (4) 1GB Network Ports - Dual
Hot Plug Power Supply
I don't know what he meant by Intel Xeon 2.20GHz 6 Core Processor - four (4)
I though that this would be a quad cpu
16 gigs of ram
146 gigs of SSD solid drive
and then .. 8 hard drives
DVD disk
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
I think that what they planned to sell is a full IT infra for a company
the raid 5 is to not allow any file to be corrupted
xeon instead of i7 so the processor can run 24/7 for many years
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
I am actually inclined for us to work with cloud compute for now
we might be able to get by with on demand compute
rajuchinthalapati
@rajuchinthalapati
o.k.
I think, they are giving 4 of 6 core processors
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
that's what I think as well
rajuchinthalapati
@rajuchinthalapati
Too much
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
and the raid5 might be too much
they recommended raid5 because it won't need backup and won't loose any data
let me see if I find a picture of it
rajuchinthalapati
@rajuchinthalapati
I think, we better ask for one 6 core processor, 16 GB RAM, a SSD and a HDD, DVD/RW - IDRAC7
Entreprise Management Card - Four (4) 1GB Network Ports - Dual
Hot Plug Power Supply
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
I think we just need 1 or 2 Networks
rajuchinthalapati
@rajuchinthalapati
yes, let us say 2.
Shall we ask for Intel Xeon 2.20GHz 6 Core Processor - four (1)
eight (8) GB RDIMM 1600MHz Memory - Two (2)
146GB SAS 15K Hard Drives
Mirrored and Four (1) 300GB SAS 15K Hard Drives ina RAID5 configuration (All Hard Drives are Hot Swap)
DVD/RW - IDRAC7
Entreprise Management Card - Four (1) 1GB Network Ports - Dual
Hot Plug Power Supply and a HDD of 1TG?
one processor, 16 GB, one SAS drive of 240 GB, one 1TB HDD, DVD/RW-IDRAC7, two 1GB Network cards and Hot plug power supply
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
well
sounds nice
rajuchinthalapati
@rajuchinthalapati
O.K., I will ask Sarvesh to give the specs to them and wait for a new quote
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
it doesn't need to be a sas drive
sas is a drive that you can remove in hot swap
like a disk drive
btw, I got some results of the cluster analysis
I will send you via email
rajuchinthalapati
@rajuchinthalapati
sure
Thanks
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
it's not a scatter plot with the cluster because I use distance matrix
used*
we could just plot them by vol so far
well, I think I can .. I just need to decide the lvl of the cluster and color it differently
I will restart my pc back soon
guilhermehartmann
@guilhermehartmann
Raju, let me know when you are online
