unless i'm wrong...
Sam Gwydir
@gwydirsam
ifstream to read ofstream to write
Rafael Moreno
@ralphie9224
is the idea that the file can have an unlimited amount of messages and i'm encrypting and writing out each one?
Sam Gwydir
@gwydirsam
fstream can do both though
no'
here's a link to the getopt manpage
no the input file already exists and contains whatever they want to be encrypted and it will be treated as one message
Rafael Moreno
@ralphie9224
ok cool. so i'm reading one message from one file
what's the input file called? message.txt?
Sam Gwydir
@gwydirsam
then the output file is assumed to not exist or the user doesnt't care about it and the encrypted message is written to it
it's called whatever the argument is
./rsa-crypt -i <message file path> -o <output file path>
it should probably be:
actually that's fine
and then have ./rsa-crypt -d <encrypted file path> and it prints to stdout
Rafael Moreno
@ralphie9224
aahhhh. i gotcha. so i'm creating a file based off of the input name, reading the message in that, encrypting, decrypting, and passing the decrypted message into the file in that path which i create?
Sam Gwydir
@gwydirsam
yeah.
either I'm confusing you..or you're confusing you....or I'm very scared about your code
Rafael Moreno
@ralphie9224
brace yoursel

@gwydirsam
Don't worry I've been terrified for months in this class
Martin Fracker, Jr.
@Towerism
our build broke at build #561, commit 6290d1e
looks like develop broke at no. 565
Sam Gwydir
@gwydirsam
I can't really debug right now, I've got to make up the presentation and then study for another final I have tomorrow that is terrifying me

Oh I guess he didn't push that fix
hmm...I think that means he submitted it that way.
Neat.

@Atrus7
I fixed that before the merge...
And I asked you to merge it in while we were merging everything into develop
And YOU said you did.
"yeah I merged it" --Sam "WhythurrErrurs"

@ralphie9224
ooo chris. kill 'em
Christopher Findeisen
@Atrus7
At any rate, please turn in working demos to Sam as soon as possible.
We'll be using his computer to demo tomorrow
REMINDER
Today at 10:30am we have our demo, at the lecture hall. Everyone should be there before 10:00AM
Martin Fracker, Jr.
@Towerism
Afaik Sam is putting together the whole demo
Sam Gwydir
@gwydirsam
I'm not putting it together
you put it together, I just make sure it works
Sam Gwydir
@gwydirsam
@ralphie9224 where is the public and private key written to file?
Sam Gwydir
@gwydirsam
Hey declaring the meeting is at 9:45!@
Martin Fracker, Jr.
@Towerism
Ah okay. Well if I'm just taking some b64 encoded cipher text then I'm done.
Sam Gwydir
@gwydirsam
I hope so
I need some sleep I'll be up later

@ralphie9224
