Adam Howard
@adamhoward_twitter
Hi everybody
I am new to codimd and i am trying to get it working using docker
how do you change the default port from 3000 to port 80?
Jong-Kai Yang
@GitOnion
Hi Adam, please see this document:
Adam Howard
@adamhoward_twitter
Yes I have seen that document but what file to I actually edit? Is it docker-compose.yml inside of where I cloned the repo?
Sorry I am new to docker
Also how do I setup my ssl for it?
Jong-Kai Yang
@GitOnion
Hi Adam, please study docker if you are new to docker. You can setup your SSL with a nginx or apache reverse proxy.
Raccoon
@a60814billy
@adamhoward_twitter you can change the port in docker-compose.yml Line 79 (https://github.com/hackmdio/docker-hackmd/blob/master/docker-compose.yml#L79),
ports:
  - "80:3000"

Hi Team! I've looped back around and have started using CodiMD again, last time I used it, it was HackMD so I've had some reading and catching up to do! I've mostly gotten it all setup and running however Imgur doesn't seem to be working. :'(
I don't know why Gitter won't let me send code but here's the error - https://paste.linuxbox.ninja/paste/52

@Nebukadneza
hi there
did we switch back from matrix to gitter? :(
Jimmy B.
@jimmybrancaccio
I have no idea, but a place to chat / get halp would be awesome.
I ended up moving to S3 instead of Imgur though.
Raphael Das Gupta
@das-g
When I insert an image into a CodiMD presentation slide, can I avoid the white border around it somehow?

did we switch back from matrix to gitter? :(

Gitter is what's linked on https://github.com/hackmdio/codimd#contribution-and-discussion

What Matrix room would be the right one?

Hi there, I see https://github.com/hackmdio/docker-hackmd project is archived. Does this mean no new features will be added to this project?
Max Wu
@jackycute
@avinashdesireddy We're planning to move the dockerfile to the https://github.com/hackmdio/codimd, no worries.
Max Wu
@jackycute
So here is the chat support for https://github.com/hackmdio/codimd. I think we will keep it all in Gitter, simpler for us to keep all voice together.
@das-g I think you can put CSS styles to avoid the border. like: <style>img { border: none; }</style>
@jimmybrancaccio based on the error log you pasted, what's the node version you're running? I think maybe you might need to reinstall imgur lib in older node version like 8 or 9
Raphael Das Gupta
@das-g

@das-g I think you can put CSS styles to avoid the border. like: <style>img { border: none; }</style>

That doesn't seem to have any effect, when I try it. Is a working example of that approach available somewhere?

Max Wu
@jackycute
@das-g I was trying to give a quick example, here is the working one: <style>.reveal section img { border: none; }</style>
Raphael Das Gupta
@das-g

Cool, that works.

It seems I can get the images completely vanilla by <style>.reveal section img { border: none; box-shadow: none; background: none; }</style>

Thank you!

Hi, I'm looking for the package which will allow me to render a hackmd.io note into a html string, is there a such thing on NPM for example ?
Martin Koppehel
@martin31821
Is there a document describing how to go from local filesystem image store to a s3 based image store while keeping the uploads?
Himura Kazuto
@Himura2la
Hi guys! I wrote scripts for easy backup and restore codimd with uploads. Hope you can find them useful
Jimmy B.
@jimmybrancaccio
@jackycute I had given up and use S3 lol.
bonanza123
@bonanza123
HI all, is there a way to adjust the highlighting color for ==markup== ? The yellow is quite weak on my screen...
Himura Kazuto
@Himura2la
@bonanza123, You can add <style>mark{background-color:red!important}</style> somewhere in your document.
Vina Melody
@vinamelody
Hi ... anyone knows how much is hackmd enterprise?
Max Wu
@jackycute
@vinamelody Hi, could you reach out to plan_inquiry@hackmd.io? We are happy to help :)
hoijui
@hoijui
I cloned the hackmd/codimd repo, ran bin/setup, then npm run build, then node app.js, and then open localhost:3000
as I understand, that should use the "test" configuration, and as I changed no config, that would be an in-memory SQLite DB, right?
the site loads, but when I open a guest-pad, it shows the top-bar, but the main part of the site (where I should be able to edit and see the preview) stays blank
I see no errors in the console though
It feels like some newb error of mine, that's why I ask here
Max Wu
@jackycute
I think maybe you running it behind some proxy?
Dennis Gaida
@DennisGaida
Since it's not in the readme: Why is https://github.com/hackmdio/docker-hackmd archived and what is the alternative?
Also in the documentation this repository is still referenced: https://hackmd.io/c/codimd-documentation/%2Fs%2Fcodimd-docker-deployment
Max Wu
@jackycute
Hi @DennisGaida , the docker file moved to our main repo, and we’re on our way to release next version
I think you can use the 1.4.0-rc2 for the latest build.
We’ll update that soon, thanks for reminding!
Dennis Gaida
@DennisGaida
:thumbsup: great. I'll get started with the helm deployment on Azure Kubernetes now.
Jimmy B.
@jimmybrancaccio

Any idea why CodiMD uses so much CPU when it's sitting idle?

jimmy 20866 113 0.4 643736 66448 ? Rsl 19:39 0:01 \_ node /home/jimmy/bin/codimd/app.js

113%.

Oh wait, it's restarted 990 times in the last 5 minutes...
