Not necessary as Debian don't block any ports by default

That's also expected as cURL defaults to the 80 port which is not open.

I'm comparing your .yml with the default one... `volumes:

  - ./database-data:/var/lib/postgresql/data` has quotation marks in the default

I mount the volume right under the working directory, this avoids the problem where the data in the named volume interferes with the application.

isn't it strange that your version does give a curl result and the vanilla one doesn't? is there a bug in the vanilla version?

or perhaps just a mismatch with my particular VPS

There's multiple factors influencing whether you get the wrong response, I would say it is a user-end issue.

right now, if I take this working example (that shows CodiMD in the browser at IP:port) and add - CMD_DOMAIN=url.com to the .yml, it just breaks the CSS on IP:port

and shows an error message from my domain/VPS provider on url.com. would that point to an issue on their side?

apologies for asking this many questions here - if there's more documentation about this stuff I'd love to read it

Hi there. Quick question. When I am opening a new firefox window to my self hosted CodiMD instance and want to edit a page it kind of takes about 15s until the top right button says "1 online", it wiggles back and forth between "offline" and "connected" until it finally says "1 online". The editor won't allow any edits until it is done with the process.

How can I debug / fix this? ;-)

Hi there, I'm using a self-hosted, anonymous-login CodiMD instance for some prototyping, and I noticed that sometimes the toolbar with all formatting/uploading buttons is not shown. Sometimes = when I edit a note that I had injected via the /new (unofficial) API. CodiMD from docker.io/linuxserver/codimd:latest. Any clue why? Shall I jump on a more recent build?

(Just to note that I had tried to use nabo.codimd.dev/hackmdio/hackmd, but it requires authentication. Maybe worth updating the page at https://hackmd.io/c/codimd-documentation/%2Fs%2Fcodimd-docker-deployment - which otherwise works perfectly :)

@glpatcern Hi, I don't think nabo.codimd.dev/hackmdio/hackmd:2.0.1 would require any authentication. It's definitely for CodiMD. What did you see from the logs?

@jackycute Hi Max, I am not sure how I can determine the version # that I am running. I got it from github. Is there a file that I can check that has the version # encoded? I am running this on Debian server and access it from Firefox under Ubuntu with Firefox being up to date.

BTW, you can check the version in package.json but it can be changed anyways.
