Hi
Eric Prieto
@ericprieto
Hey, guys, how can I change the number of concurrent downloads?
Daniel Powell
@danpowell88
anyone around?
any idea if its possible to have the launcher run to unrar some stuff and then set a torrent to paused?
or if its possible to do that through the javascript api?
Daniel Powell
@danpowell88
or would any seeding time limits etc not apply until after the executor is complete?
Viktor Elofsson
@vktr
Hi @thecubical, you could probably do it through the JS api, but it's been a while since I worked with the source
Daniel Powell
@danpowell88
cheers i think i mangled something together by combining the automover and executer together
poplolnman
@poplolnman
howdy\
it wont launch for me :/
poplolnman
@poplolnman
how does one upgrade to the latest develop branch for the window master build\
Daniel Powell
@danpowell88
worked for me on windows using the latest binaries from the site
poplolnman
@poplolnman
where do u find those all i can find is the ones from 2015
and does this work well with sonarr/couchpotato?
any plugins? dnt see any..
Daniel Powell
@danpowell88
im trying to set it up with sonarr right now
it has a js plugin framework where you can extend it
pretty easy
it has an automover and executor plugin built in
i combined them together for what i needed
you need to implement the process.launch code to call whatever the app is you want to execute after the move is complete

@jsank
am i an idiot or are there actually no .deb files available on the github page for this?
It's literally a loop between the release page and the install page when trying to find it
oh i see it was removed
thanks
Viktor Elofsson
@vktr
@jsank Hi, sorry for the late answer. Yeah, I removed the deb files since they did not work. Recommendation is to build yourself. Project is at a bit of a halt right now

Hi, I'm a bit new to hadouken, but wanted to announce that I just committed a code which enables processes to be launched in linux and return the exitcode properly
siva8920
@siva8920
@vktr Hi. I am new to Hadouken. I built it on Ubuntu 14.04, it installed fine. But when I try to run, I get some missing .js files. Issue #268
embercoat
@embercoat
@siva8920 I don't have those files in my installation either but hadouken works as expected.
Link to my deb: https://zeus.scripter.se/~torrent/hadouken-5.2.0-Linux.deb, please note that it is built on debian 8 and not Ubuntu

@vktr

Hi @/all! Sorry I haven't had a lot of time to work on Hadouken - I think it's been about 1½ years since my last "real" commit was pushed :worried:

To keep things short - I have been working on another project which will replace Hadouken as it is now. It is called Porla and is also a headless BitTorrent client. It differs from Hadouken in that it builds on Node.js instead of C++ (there are some C++ code in the libtorrent bindings, though), and it also has vastly superior scripting capabilities.

Porla is not as mature as Hadouken, and does not have a web interface (yet), but it does have a more compelling use case (I think).

Anyways - I will still try to answer issues and provide guidance, but I won't do any more development. If you want to take over, or know someone who want to, let me know! :smile:

@embercoat
Porla looks interesting :)
Viktor Elofsson
@vktr
@tinyMrChaos I hope so! :smile: It will at least be easier to work with and customize
rabbitsmith
@rabbitsmith
Eagerly expecting to use porla. When will we get it?
Viktor Elofsson
@vktr
@rabbitsmith I've been swamped lately so haven't had the time to work on it as much as I want to, sometime during the summer should see an alpha I hope

@ckbkr
Hello
ckbkr
@ckbkr
I'm building Hadouken on Ubuntu armhf right now, just wanted to drop the 'What you need' section of the wiki should be expanded by 'g++4.8 gcc4.8 autotools-dev zip autoconf' build essential would probably cover most of them. Regards, the program looks really nice.

@ckbkr
On second thought if you use ubuntu ( zesty in my case ) there is a much easier way to build this. Just use an 'aptitude install libssl-dev libboost1.62-all-dev libtorrent-rasterbar-dev' and you don't need to build the dependencies yourself. It does start to compile but it seems I can't test further since gcc4.8 is crapping out on my arm processor type.

@ckbkr
Compilled fine, libtorrent was still compiled which could be avoided changing the cmake, with that it'd be a much faster compilation progress. the boost package was useful though. arm gcc worked after adding a swap file. Here's the resulting arm71 hf-abi deb file in case someone has a similar need: http://daskekshaus.de:1212/hadouken-5.2.0-Linux.deb

@gpriaulx
G'day Viktor - I just wanted to thank you for all the awesome work you have done on Hadouken. I have been using it for a number of years now, and despite its ups and downs it has been fantastic. I appreciate all the time and energy you have poured into it thus far. I realise it isn't a project that you are currently focused on, and I wanted to wish you well in future in future endeavors.
Viktor Elofsson
@vktr
Thanks for the kind words, @gpriaulx!

Might want to take a moment and remove the link to hdkn.net as it seems to have lapsed to an ad service.
Amir Omidi
@aaomidi
Can we get rid of the link on the page?
Like, it instantly made me feel like i should just not use this.
Daniel Powell
@danpowell88
it was a great client but to be honest now its using a 3 year old version of libtorrent that has had many security flaws fixed since, probably best off looking elsewhere

Hey @/all, I've been working on a replacement for Hadouken for some time now. It's called Porla (https://github.com/porla/porla) and I think I've mentioned it here one time as well
Either way - I hear you about the expired domain, and I know there's a missing .deb for the latest 5.2 release of Hadouken
That said, Porla is a spiritual successor to Hadouken and I believe it has more potential as it's Node.js based (still native bindings to a very recent libtorrent version though), so it's way more approachable for newcomers to contribute to
