hey all, may be some buildbot downtime this morning, trying to finally figure out what’s up with the Windows buildbots

Our README still suggests “LLVM4 or later”, but we no longer test anything before 5. Should we update to say “LLVM5, 4 may still work but no promises”?

I'd just say 5 or later

OK, I think all the buildbots are working again. TL;DR: for no obvious reason, the Windows bots got both of their network settings wedged; applying the Windows “reset/remove and reinstall all my Network adapters” button ended up being the magic needed. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
and also, (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Current select(true, 6, 1/0) is an indeterminate expression. Should it be?
Steven Johnson
@steven-johnson

that seems suboptimal
so, no

I don't think so. It might arise from a specialization of select(x == 0, 0, y/x)
Steven Johnson

select(true, x, y) should always fold to x

I'll make the simplifier return 6 then
ditto for true || indeterminate
and false && indeterminate

Simplify.cpp is getting shorter and shorter, and taking longer and longer to compile :)

approaching the singularity

There must be some kind of competition somewhere to find the biggest ratio of compile time to file size
