Still You are continue? Do-You know reagel? Meybe this will better than flex
@texrg I know it's been a long time. Eventually I will continue this, I got busy with a lot of other things. I do know Ragel, but I don't see a big problem with using flex and since it integrates so well with bison I think it's a decent choice.
The flex and bison is easy but... horrible in errors communicats
all communicats are showing in english and put to stdout. no exist any chance to change this
Even if I use Ragel, that will only be able to provide a scanner. I still need to use something like Bison in order to have a parser. At this point in the tutorial I'm probably not going to change the tools I'm using. I could post more posts later showing how to use something like Ragel, but I'd need a good parser to integrate with (or I have to write my own). Do you have a suggestion?
ragel is good parser and lexer
I have really been enjoying the tutorial. I have unfortunately reached the end of what is available. If you do not have plans to continue the series is there another one you can recommend?
I don't know of one that was aiming to do what I was. I would mention that Ruby Under a Microscope is a fantastic reference for internals. I do plan on continuing and perhaps soon. I got stuck on some decisions, and then moved countries, switched jobs, etc. and it postponed writing for years now.
