@AndrewMeadows it used to get activated when you have leap hands active
and using rave gloves option
you can probably just pull it out

you can take leap trails out, we'd definitely want to do that in javascript
@Geenz @ZappoMan just added another issue - the LOD system misunderstands the throttling as a performance problem.
and incorrectly starts backing down object/avatar quality when window is minimized or obscured.

@PhilipRosedale I'll look into it, mind if I modify my bid as such to account for the additional work?
oh wait, @ZappoMan has it, never mind; back to submitting that style change

@PhilipRosedale Should I go ahead with the platform dependent bits I mentioned previously for testing if a window's totally obscured by one or more windows?

nope... let's do something new.

just added a new worklist job to add animation file (BVH) support

yep, looking at everything involved now
@problem go ahead and count me out for the script GUI, don't wanna hold up anything there if I'm moving on to this

@geenz excellent, that would be a great win in terms of progress.

are there any docs on the javascript API that I can look at?
Jonathan "Geenz" Goodman
@Geenz
Mar 15 2014 01:16
oh cool, the script engine actually seems pretty easy to work with

no docs that I know of, yet. Yeah best bet is to look at an example feature and try to follow the pattern. @ZappoMan knows the most about it.

I'll ping him about the steps involved for exposing a new API to the script API then, looking over the script engine it seems pretty straight forward to do so thankfully

and now to write a BVH parser! Thankfully there's more than enough reference to do so nowadays

I require an avatar that actually has legs!
for the body...

whelp, at least the added parser bits work
or I should say at least they compile

Geenz, great to hear progress. did you get some legs?
Jonathan "Geenz" Goodman
@Geenz
Mar 15 2014 23:19
yep!

note that we need to come up with the most common joint names so that we can give guidance on mapping animations to bodies
right?
Jonathan "Geenz" Goodman
@Geenz
Mar 15 2014 23:20
currently the parser compiles, but I haven't actually tried to write anything that uses the resulting animation; that's my goal for tonight, to get it parsing a BVH, and translating motion data from that into something we can use on the avatar
and that may require a bit of a survey here, not that it's a bad thing
but having common joint names relative to what most other people use (or similar to) would be nice
