@ZappoMan NodeList::removeSilentNodes() didn't get triggered for me on Windows, I solved it by moving the silentNodeTimer to the NodeList class

@thoys - that's very odd. Can you send me more details. What do you mean "NodeList::removeSilentNodes() didn't get triggered" - how do you know that? in the client?

I putted a breakpoint, it never got triggered
*put
So my amount of servers kept growing
I think its related to setThread, QT on windows might not like that
silentNodeTimer->moveToThread(_nodeThread);
QTimer* silentNodeTimer = new QTimer();
connect(silentNodeTimer, &QTimer::timeout, this, &NodeList::removeSilentNodes);
silentNodeTimer->start(NODE_SILENCE_THRESHOLD_USECS / 1000);
thats what i moved to the constructor of NodeList, to fix this
not sure if i did it by the book, but this works for me

idea, in case there is a full group of people (and theres some kind of contactlist implemented) then it would be nice that your friends become priority to show as model

@ZappoMan @stojce I am working on the ‘Running Scripts’ widget but I am not sure where to put the source files
I have placed the .ui file in the interface/ui folder

Just seen it, thanks, @birarda .

Mar 28 2014 16:38
@birarda I did it that way on purpose.
Before my changes sendFakeEnterEvent was sent regardless of whether the user was gone to.
Stephen Birarda
@birarda
Mar 28 2014 16:39
we don’t need sendFakeEnter event inside goToUser
we need it after the dialog returns
so only inside goTo
Dimitar Dobrev
@ddobrev
Mar 28 2014 16:40
So it was because of the dialogue. OK then.

@birarda could you merge highfidelity/hifi#2569 ? Git had deleted some of my code for some reason.

Thanks for SVVR demo last night. I have hifi downloaded, compiled, and I can get in the interface. What should I look for then?

Hey guys, I downloaded and built the code today udner OSX, am running local domain-server and assignment-client, but can't get the interface to connect to localhost. I don't see the option to set domain in preferences, can you confirm this is still available in the currently restored interface code?

thanks @problem that works to set domain. You may want to update readme.md with this. :)

@ArcadeFever If you go in the file menu, I think you should see a Go To Domain option that you can go through. It should show you the shortcut too.

@altante45 you are correct, I totally missed that. Thanks! I was just following directions at the end of readme.md that said to find it under preferences, which it is not.

I don’t think so.
And I don’t think you can use this fonctionnality without an account.
@birarda would know more about that.
Stephen Birarda
@birarda
Mar 28 2014 23:29
yeah - sorry, there’s sort of a bug where you can’t even go to name places without an accout
I’ve gotta fix that
in the meantime, now that you’ve passed the gate of building, perhaps we should get you one of those anyways
