FYI regarding server limits: I am maxing out when I am scripting a building on my plot. It will render the voxels however it will remove them within seconds as I see the local voxels not go above 1 million.

@kutecht are the voxels being deleted at the server? Or are they just not being rendered at the client?
I think the client has logic to drop the LOD of voxels if the count gets too high (to maintain frame rate). I'm wondering if this is what you're seeing or if it is something else.

Hey, anyone else getting the Faceshift: connection refused?
Leonardo Murillo

Apr 17 2014 15:49
@SydoxX if you dont have Faceshit running and set to connect to server, and Faceshit enabled in interface, that is expected
Konstantin
@SydoxX
Apr 17 2014 15:51
Ok, so you have to download faceshift from their website?

they have a 30 day trial on the site, yes - and you need a compatible depth camera for it to work

saw similar posts to that one....but considering the pc i build on and that has no issues also has no openssl installed.....was thinking it had to be something else.....but i guess i'll try installing it

What are the restrictions on usernames and locations? length, characters, etc.
Stephen Birarda
@birarda
Apr 17 2014 22:36
that’s probably a question I should know the answer to
usernames are up to 63 characters
usernames can have anything but spaces, I believe
there is currently no limit on location names, but assume the same restrictions would apply to places
Konstantin
@SydoxX
Apr 17 2014 22:40
So UTF-8 already?
Stephen Birarda
@birarda
Apr 17 2014 22:41
AFAIK there’s UTF-8 handling on the web side but am less sure about interface
Ryan Huffman

Ryan Huffman

Apr 17 2014 22:45
So you could have a location with, for instance, parentheses?
(Just making sure)
Stephen Birarda
@birarda
Apr 17 2014 22:50
currently you could have a location with anything
spaces too
that may change - so in the future parentheses could be disallowed, but for now that should work

Try if slashes ( / ) work. If they do..... we gonna have problems with the hifi url system.
