Hey it was really cool to actually see some of you guys for the first time in the default world. Having a hard time falling asleep after all of the cool stuff I saw today and great convos with a lot of really interesting folks. Pretty sure I'm going to dream of playing bongos tonight.

Hello. I'm trying to use home-brew on my mac, and I get errors. Impossible to tap qt5 and qxmpp, and no formula for zlib. Should I install all the dependencies manually ? I'd prefer to use homebrew

hi @LaurentBechir . Are you following this guide?

hey @LaurentBechir -> if it’s telling you that it is unable to tap the highfidelity formulas that’s actually aright, it’s because they have the same name as some of the stock homebrew formulas
I’ve just checked to confirm that there is a zlib formula
please make sure you do brew upgrade and then brew update before any of the other commands

Heads up for those in here - about to remove GnuTLS dependency so hopefully that solves some people’s build issues with that for now
it’ll be replaced with OpenSSL in a month or so

Hello again. Sorry I wasn't in front of my screen :). I've followed the BUILD.md until now. I'll restart from scratch with the brew upgrade/update :)

Can someone please confirm that in Application.cpp, line 250 is the duplicate of line 251?

connect(nodeList, &NodeList::nodeKilled, this, &Application::nodeKilled);
connect(nodeList, SIGNAL(nodeKilled(SharedNodePointer)), SLOT(nodeKilled(SharedNodePointer)));
those two are identical
that’s what you mean, yeah?

Anyone here who would like to join me on #19671? I have an idea how to solve the problem. I just do not have the Visage so I cannot test my idea. So, Tester needed...

I've reinstalled all dependencies from scratch, but I get an error concerning QT when trying to generate the Xcode project file with cmake : http://pastie.org/9194124

I know when I compiled hifi a while back I never used brew, I use either port or manual compiles, I may try to do a manual here my way with new stuff to see if its possible

Do you have the special qt version without wireless network scanning with port ?
The last commenter there, Stephen Birarda is here and he said he is not sure it stems from QT
nm, read time backwards, then their patch, I may read more info on it, if they patched it

found the patch for manually hacking it in (for me at least) https://github.com/highfidelity/homebrew-formulas/blob/master/qt5.rb
