Is it possible to setup the oauth thing for your own domain?

correct me if I am wrong - assignment-client and domain-server use qDebug() to output?

@thoys possible but you’d need to get some things from us to give your DS an ID and secret to be available to oauth handshake against our data server, and you will need a certificate that must be signed by our CA — not sure if we’re handing those out, let you know
@binaryking you are correct

@murillodigital well, we need to change that
"From 5.4 or 5.5 on, it (qDebug) won't go to the output.”

not sure what that means, qDebug() wont print to stdout on versions 5.4/5.5 of?

Qt
presently qDebug() does not output to stdout on Windows but from Qt 5.4 onwards it won’t use stdout on all the 3 desktop OSes

ahh well we have time then, we’re not even to 5.3 in our code
and 5.4 is probably still a bit aways from release

no, my principle issue is not being able to show the logs on Windows via Stack Manager
and eventually, we WILL have to change it

well I think thats easily solved by just setting up a message handler, no?
Mohammed Nafees
@mnafees

a message handler specially for Windows, in assignment-client and domain-server
Stack Manager has no part to play in this

well if qDebug will turn into a general problem
a couple of version of Qt down the line
that by default won’t print to stdout
then a messageHandler (in the AC/DS code indeed) that, if QtDebugMsg then print to stdout seems like a very simple solution
add a method, install it as message handler, done
no need to change all the qDebug() lines that exist, and will make it quite simple to redirect that output if needed
