@AndrewMeadows Thanks for all the info. I am building from source on CentOS 6.5 inside a VirtualBox vm. Are there binaries available? I haven't yet encountered any. I managed to x out of the login bar and put in sandbox.highfidelity.io and it appears to have connected but when I do the % key I see text with values that are almost all zeroes. The number of servers is zero. It also alternates between maybe connected and not connected. The program responds VERY slowly and I cannot get it do do anything. The interface window oscillates between a black and white window with a lot of white dots to the same thing in red and white. The change occurs about every 10 seconds. By the way, I found the ini file right where you said it would be.

Well, I just noticed that I did not have 3D video acceleration enabled and only 1mb of video memory for that vm in vbox so I enabled 3D accel and increased video memory to 128 mb and now I get a seg fault when I start interface. I also get a number of OPENGL warnings.

@Atlante45 On linux to get assignment client/domain to compile with changes made to logging it looks like you need to #include <unistd.h> in LogHandler.cpp Without it the compile fails on Ubuntu 14.04 and latest Debian

@morrisford If you are in the alpha program you can download binaries. @problem should be able to help you with that

Interface log file no longer has CR/LF on ends of lines, at least not on Windows. Was OK in Windows build 1341; no CR/LFs in Windows build 1351.

@birarda, could that ^^^ be caused by your recent changes to logging?

Assignment client has a cache for Agent data. It's maximum size is currently the Qt default of 50MB. Should it be increased? If so, what would be a good value?

That seems something that would benefit from some stats collection and be tunable vs a hard coded thing. It's likely to change in what's best frequently as things develop.
