ok on your server I set it up so your domain server and assignment client are in /root/hifi and you can run it with ./run-hifi.sh and it also outputs log info to either domain.log or assignment.log which is really just for, well you wont need it really but I am making the script work in multuple configurations so its there
its already running but I set the security on your web interface so you have to configure it with your info like go here and put in your access token http://91.121.116.65:40100/settings/
use the same username and password on it you had before
so at least now you have a “stack manager” up and running now and can put in your info to access your place you registered

its basically delete the contents of the build folder in the /usr/local/src/highfidelity/hifi/build then cmake .. then make domain-server && make assignment-client

@Cybermansow

im very grateful to you my friend!!!
Jason Hawks
@nbq
Jan 16 2015 01:59
then while inside the build folder run these commands:
mv domain-server/domain-server resources/ ~/hifi/domain/
mv assignment-client/assignment-client ~/hifi/assignment/
I am glad to help, I will have gitter open on my desktop (on laptop right now) so if something goes major wrong I can try to help

Ok - one thing that might need some thought. Place name attaches to hardware instance reference in domains. Cool. You assign a default landing point to place. Super. You type, for instance, Heron, in location bar. You're there. You wander about and make a bookmark called "Cool spot in Heron". Then you move off to some other place. Open your book mark to the cool spot you found and where do you end up? Heron's landing zone, not the cool spot you'll have to search 16 cubic kilometers(+) to find again.

Perhaps the logic is - given a location hifi://heron vs hifi://heron/#######s you would honor the specific location and only enforce a hard coded landing spot for the non-specific case. Later that could become more like SL where some are always forced to a landing spot intially then can move to other saved locations.

@PhilipRosedale As a follow up to the post about stack manager and disappearing entities: I just started interface (1641) and stack and could see nothing and nothing in the model list. I then inserted a box and then the lounge was in the model list and I could teleport to it.

Another issue that needs looking at. If you have an ip address populated for network address at hifi's data server for a domain then full automatic networks does not work as expected. All the people finding they can not get others back to their domains and going through frustration I've helped (so far) have all had a value in that field. I also found my domain unreachable by others - people could not click my name in chat to get to etc. Sure enough... IP address was populated and it was not allowing full auto to route back via ICE. It seems if the domain server is advertising it is in full on automatic networking mode that should be ignored rather than needing to be blanked.

weird, I had a fake ip in my domain setting like i even did 127.0.0.1 on one then set setting for network to full
i know it worked because you could go there, and so did others who tried

yeah - it's something subtle somewhere. It could be some intermittent failure in the ICE negotiation chain... I've had it happen when I changed from cloud droplets that some things worked, other didn't or it didn't work at all still trying to get back to the (now) non-supported old IP. Liam was in that state this morning - we could get to his domain by ip or placename, but clicking his name showed person or location offline error. After many restarts and double/triple/quadruple confirms his keys and such were correct I remembered to ask about networking settings... all full on auto (port and ip) - then asked if he had an IP addr in the domain settings. Yes. Removed it, restarted. Worked. And he had restarted the domain at least 10 times prior to that last change.

i will remove the ip on mine and see if it makes any stability differences

It seems mainly related to clicking a name icon in chat to tp to that person.

Weird, even blank neither of mine worked, thats with client updates and stack manager updates, now Place worked once I set the REAL IP in the box
but Here, even with the real IP is not working now
I tried blank too
this was not happening last night

something just changed - it's simply not working.
I saw this before when ICE was not playing nicely - that's when I defined my IP that later led to all the other troubles once I went back auto.
it works fine via IP - so something just changed with ICE
Joe Large [Omega Heron]
@OmegaHeron
Jan 16 2015 20:15
well - I may regret having opened the can of worms about this ICE networking thing. I had to define IP and revert to full on manual config for heron to get it back.

I was just going to say
I did that now for Here
I mean it just got done but lets see how it propogates

Jan 16 2015 20:16
yeah - that's pretty much the opposite error of one I was trying to point out
was instant for me - I can hit jungle and heron again
