windows builds over the last hour or so (lost track which specific build it happened) have lost icon files for script editor.
[WARNING] [03/03 19:13:32] Cannot open file 'C:/Program Files (x86)/High Fidelity/resources/icons/start-script.svg', because: The system cannot find the path specified.
heh - open it again they're there. never mind.

Same ^^ OS X updated AC/DS and works fine , Linux compiled from GIT works fine. Windows hasn't downloaded a new AC/DS at restart since before yesterday when packet version changed. But, as always, it downloads resources.zip at startup.

hey all
we’re considering moving this dev side of conversation to our IRC channel
so it’s possible we will be closing our gitter rooms
wondering if there are any issues/concerns with that approach

I like the integration with this and the git activity.

@birarda
Mar 04 2015 17:09
yeah - that is nice
the reason we’d like to coalesce into one place is that it is more likely we will be available in IRC than here in gitter
but we don’t have to close gitter right away just something I am thinking about

Is the IRC channel available for non-HiFi staff to try out now?

cool!
gitter is a little young right now
my sense is that IRC is a more typical channel for conversation around open source projects

Ya know... back in my college days - early 80s when the Inet backbone was 1200 baud and I was gleeful with my 110 baud modem + acoustic coupler to an IMSAI 8080.... I hated IRC then and it's pleasant to see, unlike me, in some ways it hasn't changed.

Hey all.....anybody still able to build on ubuntu 14.04?.....upgrading to 14.10 is not an option for me..

you'll need to figure out how to get QT 5.3.2 on then you should be able to.
that's the only real blockage to using 14.04

i had 5.32....currently even have 5.4.1

‘SendBufferSizeSocketOption’ is not a member of ‘QAbstractSocket’
getting those kinda errors with LimitedNodeList.cpp.o for example
and also about the Receive buffer
noticed someone asked about that in january also already but then the answer was go to 14.10 unfortunately

looks like it's not seeing the expected QT headers then. It gets nightmarish rapidly trying to compile this on a system with multiple QT installs.
I did the guide for 14.04 until it became so difficult then promoted going to 14.10 for those not of ubergeek status. It can be done, but it's a huge pain in nether regions.

there's a plethora of environment vars and command line flags you can set that will likely get it pointed to right includes and libs, but, I'm not sure which. Maybe their linux expert will see this and offer some help.

used to do this on centos....that was a pain also....then when switched to ubuntu it was so easy.......at first
Joe Large [Omega Heron]
@OmegaHeron
Mar 04 2015 18:38
yeah - centos is easy mode if you have the right centos - just as ubuntu is if you're at 14.10

If you look at my repos I have a CentOS script that does the whole compile for you, or the entire process is on docs.highfidelity.io but it's CentOS 7

will check it out, thanks
seems i managed at the moment though
I had a self build of QT....but looks like i forgot the -opengl switch in the past
or in the past not needed it since old qt of ubuntu handled it
build passed 70% now so looking promising :)
