Hey All,
I'm trying to build hifi on linux and in the build I get an error "Could NOT find FBX (missing: FBX_LIBRARY FBX_INCLUDE_DIR)"
Do I need FBX or is it one of the optional SDKs?

It's optional. Only required when building the tool called "Oven"

It's a brand new tool we've been working on recently. Only gets used internally for now.

Ok. So currently when I run cmake .. from inside my build directory (which is inside my hifi directory) it doesn't seem to actually build anything: My output does have the following:
-- The BUILD_BRANCH variable is:
-- The BRANCH environment variable is:
-- The RELEASE_TYPE variable is:
Is having those blank ok, or should I have values for those? If I do, are those environment variables or do I specify those in some config file?

You'll have to run make afterward for the actual build.
It's ok to have them blank, those are used for production builds.
