OK, I am trying to build the Android branch. I have gotten to where I can do a cmake -L without any errors, and only the deprecation warnings about forcing the compiler. Now I want to configure it in cmake-gui so I can specify a build folder. It wants to know what the toolchain file is. There are a lot of files in the android toolchain path, such as ar.exe. I do not know which one it wants. Can someone give me a clue?

I am building this on a Windows computer. I was also trying it on a linux computer, but that is kind of stalled.

when you run cmake, does it output all the files to your build folder?
once cmake is complete, I run
make interface-apk

OK, thanks. It created a file, android.toolchain.config.cmake. That may be what it wants. I will try it. I do not know what I am going to do about compiling. I built the master on another Windows computer, and when I typed "make" it said make is not a windows command. I ended up building it in Visual Studio using the .sln file that cmake created. That allowed me to create the scribe executable.
