I'll try to keep an eye out here. After your get some time to read the paper I sent you and kind of decide if what you're looking to integrate would fit into scikit-spectra, let's talk further. It's unlikely I'll have any time in the next few weeks to address some of the outstanding issues in the library, but if anything changes, I'll update you. We do have an undergrad working on a new addition to the notebook GUI, but that's independent of the rest of the library for the most part. If you are interested in the pandas 0.15 compatibility refactors, I can try to go through and describe the problem in detail as a GH issue. Since it's just me and Evelyn using the library currently, my GH issues are notes to self and not very helpful. Will begin changing that...
But don't hesitate to put any questions, problems, suggestions here as they arise

ok, no prob. Another long term goal btw for me to eventually get some tools that could compete with IDL/ENVI spectral analysis tools. And by the way, all my data is remote sensing planetary science data.

While that would be awesome, it's probably outside the scope of scikit-spectra. That looks like it might be more in line with Spectral Python: http://www.spectralpython.net/
