So I just did a clean install of sierra and I am unable to tile terminal.app? It seems to intercept Mod1-t and Mod2-t?
I e-mailed also.

Just a side note: Awesome work ;)

I figured out the problem. I had terminal.app assigned to all desktops in Mission Control. Once I turned that off, it tiled.
Agreed!
I have a question though. I love how I can stick tiled apps off to the side, but they come fully on the screen when focused. Any way to get terminal.app to behave the same way?
It would be nice if it just came onscreen at 80x24 or whatever when focused.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean with the on screen thing.
Nice catch with the all desktops thing. I should make a note of that somewhere.

I'll try and illustrate, can I paste screenshots here?
I'm actually using the "all desktops" "feature" to keep terminal.app from changing sizes.

Okay, when I focus Slack.app, it comes onto the screen, see?
It's size is preserved.
When I have terminal.app tiled and click on it, it's been resized and is kinda useless unless I focus it in the main section.
See what I mean?

Oh, I see. So you want to be able to have it set a size as if that were the minimum size.

That's an interesting idea. I hadn't considered that.
Can you open a github issue for it?

The way other apps behave in amethyst is one of my favorite things!
Uh, let me check.
Not sure what my github login is.

Awesome!
I actually like amethyst better than other tiling window managers.
I think it's the BEST!

I'll have to think how best to approach this. There's some other things that might actually be scratching at the same itch, like #471 for example.
And thanks. :)

Yeah, I tend to use this like a feature a LOT. Keeps secondary things in the side area and focus them when they need attention. They come up at a useful size and then go back to the side when I'm done.
In fact, terminal is the only thing I use regularly that DOESN'T act this way. It actually resizes like it's told to. :-)
Okay, gotta run to an appointment, but thanks for your awesome work!
