    But trust me: BMP is single-plane-only.

    @renfang2016
    Yes, I can send you the link or the manue
    Can you wait a shortwhile and let me find the link to send it to you please?
    Curtis Rueden
    @ctrueden
    If you like.

    @renfang2016 Out of curiosity: have you tried TrackMate? From my outsider's perspective, it looks like it might help you accomplish some of the same things.
    renfang2016
    @renfang2016
    similar to tree surveyor?
    Never heard trackmate
    Curtis Rueden
    @ctrueden
    Well... it's for tracking structures. Fiji also has skeletonization plugins and a Simple Neurite Tracer which can trace things besides neurites.
    Anyway, I cannot find this Tree Surveyor thing anywhere. Just mentioned in that paper, and in a book chapter.
    renfang2016
    @renfang2016
    It is common used software in the kidney development and not many people use it and most people are in Austrilia.

    You will find people here highly biased toward open-source software. I really cannot help you with closed-source software which we didn't develop here in this chat room.
    Did the authors of Tree Surveyor ignore your questions? Do they provide any support for it?

    @renfang2016
    Thank you so much for your time.

    I searched that paper you linked but didn't find any mention of BMP files.

    I asked him through e-mail.

    I hope you get a reply! If not, and you are interested in pursuing an open-science-focused solution to your analysis issues, please feel welcome to post on http://forum.imagej.net/ describing your scientific problem, and hopefully some people there can advise you!

    Thank you.

    @ctrueden do you know scijava/scijava-common#239offhand?

    @ctrueden thanks for setting up my user page in the wiki. I'll fill it in
    Curtis Rueden
    @ctrueden
    @rimadoma You're welcome. I want to have a Userbox for all devs and contributors listed in poms, so things link well after being autogenerated.

    @hesaid
    hello! I rewrote the AddTwoDatasets tutorial package to use @Parameter annotations and ImageJ's Input harvester, as an educational excercise. Should I make a pull request for that?
    hesaid
    @hesaid
    As someone trying to learn how to write plugins the right way, I feel like the different tutorials really differ in how the do certain basic things, but maybe there's areason for that?
    Curtis Rueden
    @ctrueden
    @hesaid Cool, a PR would be fine. We can certainly discuss pros and cons there, and decide together on the best way.
    hesaid
    @hesaid
    @ctrueden great, I'll just figure out how to do that!
    hesaid
    @hesaid
    @ctrueden ok, made the request!

    I just release pom-imagej 15.5.0 but it doesn't show up in maven.imagej.net
    what's going on?
    Tobias Pietzsch
    @tpietzsch
    releasing stuff is such a timesink

    @tpietzsch
    hmmmm
    did I miss maven.imagej.net being deprecated or something like that?
    Tobias Pietzsch
    @tpietzsch
    @ctrueden @hinerm I'm trying to release imglib2 core
    I released pom-imagej 15.5.0
    Then I released pom-imglib2 7.1.0 having the new pom-imagej 15.5.0 as a parent
    Now I'm stuck on imglib2 (core), which Jenkins will not compile because: [ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-compiler-plugin:3.1:compile (default-compile) on project imglib2: Fatal error compiling: invalid target release: 1.8 -> [Help 1]
    I didn't specify anywhere that I want 1.8
    So must be somewhere in the parent poms?
    How should I resolve this?
    I need help...
    Tobias Pietzsch
    @tpietzsch
    This is upstream of other stuff I want to release. The sad thing is that I expected this whole process to take an hour or so. Now it already took an afternoon and who knows whether I will get it done today :(
    Curtis Rueden
    @ctrueden
    @tpietzsch Sorry for the frustration. The new pom-imagej sets scijava.jvm.version to 1.8. Since you updated imglib2's pom ancestry, it now inherits that.
    To fix, you can set that property back to 1.6 in the imglib2 pom.
    Next time, to save time, either ask us to do it, or do it during U.S. business hours so we can help faster.
    The imagej.maven.net is of course not deprecated. It mirrors OSS sonatype and maven central. Bit this process is not instantaneous. There is a delay.
