    I guess if @fjug get’s the grant, we will have some own infrastructure here ;-)
    Curtis Rueden
    @ctrueden
    If @fjug gets the grant, one person's whole job for at least six months will be sorting out how to even expand our infrastructure coherently.
    And they better be a fscking Linux ninja.
    Anyway, let me know if you are stuck or need something right now.

    @haesleinhuepf
    Yeah, I cannot initialize the update site for EMF-MPI-CBG :(
    Curtis Rueden
    @ctrueden
    I added Haesleinhuepf and EMF-MPI-CBG both to the emailconfirmed group.
    What does https://imagej.net/Special:ChangeUploadPassword tell you now, Robert?
    Robert Haase
    @haesleinhuepf
    "This page is restricted to authenticated users only.” - also after logging out and in again :(
    (and for Haesleinhuepf it was working before, so I didn’t test it again)
    Curtis Rueden
    @ctrueden
    @haesleinhuepf Try again now, please.
    Robert Haase
    @haesleinhuepf
    Great, it works now. :+1: Thanks @ctrueden ! What was the issue?
    Curtis Rueden
    @ctrueden

    The issue is that even if you add someone to the emailconfirmed group, it still does not actually authenticate them.
    You must confirm via email to get that field changed in the DB.
    And I guess some people are never getting emails from the system, still. I don't know why not.

    when does ImageJ2 update to the ImageJ1.x daily build?
    "The ImageJ2 distribution actually includes the latest version of ImageJ1 as well" --- doesn't seem to be latest as-in daily build
    Curtis Rueden
    @ctrueden
    @MaxLeiter ImageJ2 never updates to the latest daily build of ImageJ 1.x.
    Only to the latest lettered release versions.
    The daily builds should be considered experimental. If you want to update to one, you can use the Help > Update ImageJ... command.
    Max Leiter
    @MaxLeiter
    ah, wonderful, thanks
    roughly how often are daily builds released as stable versions?
    Curtis Rueden
    @ctrueden

    @MaxLeiter It varies, but roughly 1/month?

    @tpietzsch, @StephanPreibisch: Working a bit on the SPIM registration plugin. Noted that the master branch on github has version number 5.0.14, whereas the current version installed by Fiji is 6.0.6. Am I working from a different or outdated repository or branch?
    Max Leiter
    @MaxLeiter
    I'd make a post but don't think it's necessary for this - can I somehow have my plugin be per-image? so it restarts/has a new instance/ every new image open?
    ill use imageClosed, perhaps

    @queendemia16_twitter
    hi, does anyone know if image j has uncertainties for its mean gray values?
    Also if there is any unit for the mean gray values?
    Jan Eglinger
    @imagejan
    @queendemia16_twitter what do you mean by "uncertainties"? You can measure Standard deviation of intensity by Analyze > Set Measurements...
    The unit is raw intensity (i.e. 0-255 for 8-bit images) unless your image is calibrated using Analyze > Calibrate...
    If you need further help, it would be best to post your question and some example images or explanation of your problem on the ImageJ forum.
    mia
    @queendemia16_twitter
    so for example, if we measure initial mL/volume, we have the uncertainty of the beaker e.g. +- 0.01 mL, but in my case, I use imageJ to analyze pixel intensity/mean gray values. Does this have any uncertainty?
    also what do you mean by raw intensity?
    Kyle I S Harrington
    @kephale
    your camera has "uncertainty," images are absolute and include that noise in the stored raw intensity. you need multiple images to make a statement about the variance

    I just downloaded ImageJ and the Coloc2 plugin. I copied the Coloc2.zip source code file from github to the plugins folder, and it shows up in the 'Analyze' toolbar, but when I try to run the plugin, I get the following error: Plugin or class not found: "sc.fiji.coloc.Coloc_2"... I've also tried to compile and run the coloc_2.java file but I get different errors. Anyone know what could be the problem??
    Ellen TA Dobson
    @etadobson
    Hey @gretzkydra11 ... Coloc 2 is a built-in plugin of Fiji. So I'd recommend just downloading and installing Fiji on your system... Coloc 2 should work out-of-the-box. :)
    gretzkydra11
    @gretzkydra11
    @etarena Thanks! That did the trick. But now after I run the analysis, there is no results gui, and I can't find the output anywhere.
    Ellen TA Dobson
    @etadobson
    @gretzkydra11 are you sure the window is not just hidden somewhere?? it's a possibility... it's running fine on my Mac (Yosemite 10.10.5) - using ImageJ 2.0.0-rc-61/1.51n; Java 1.8.0_66
    gretzkydra11
    @gretzkydra11
    @etarena it's working now... I just needed to set a smaller ROI. There are errors in the analysis but those are due to the images themselves; probably need to do some background subtraction. Thanks again for your help!
    Ellen TA Dobson
    @etadobson
    @gretzkydra11 no worries! Glad it's working.
    :)

    Hey! I'm using this statement, copy.getRoi().getStatistics().stdDev, to know the Standard Deviation in a ROI. But it always returns 0. copy is an ImagePlus object with a selected ROI. I'm using this line while developing a Plugin.
    Robert Haase
    @haesleinhuepf
    Hi @geekSiddharth could you try copy.getStatistics().stdDev ?
    This should give you the standard deviation within the ROI as long as the ROI is indeed selected in the image (call setRoi if not). Otherwise, you will get the standard deviatio n of the whole image
    Siddharth Yadav
    @geekSiddharth
    @haesleinhuepf Thanks a ton. Works great! :D

    @haesleinhuepf
    You're welcome :smile:
    Siddharth Yadav
    @geekSiddharth
    It might qualify as a bug in ROI class?
    Robert Haase
    @haesleinhuepf
    I'm not sure. I also just recently discovered roi.getStatistics() But I'm not sure what is was made for...

    Hey!
    What is the Plugin code equivalent of selectionType() ?
    I've been trying to implement code from here in a PlugIn.
