@matrixbot
Nicolas Petton ok
Nicolas Petton I guess it's JS running in the browser? Not nodejs?
Fernando Vásquez
@deviantfero
no, it is node.js
matrixbot
@matrixbot
Nicolas Petton oh, ok
Fernando Vásquez
@deviantfero
yeah, there was an issue in the repo addressing this I think, but it seemed inactive
matrixbot
@matrixbot
Nicolas Petton and your own code doesn't use sourcemaps?
Fernando Vásquez
@deviantfero
so, is it useful to you to see my .indium.json?
nope
matrixbot
@matrixbot
Nicolas Petton yes, definitely
Nicolas Petton as well as the OS
Nicolas Petton I have a few issues similar to this one that I have to take of (I haven't had time recently)
Fernando Vásquez
@deviantfero
I'm on Linux 5.3.1 (Arch)

and this is my launch.json for .vscode that seems to work without issues

also, thank you for this awesome software, I love debugging my node projects in emacs :thumbsup:
matrixbot
@matrixbot
Nicolas Petton thanks :)
Fernando Vásquez
@deviantfero
I know it can be difficult to find these corner cases
matrixbot
@matrixbot
Nicolas Petton it definitely looks like a bug
Nicolas Petton the info you sent is really useful, could you turn this (including the vscode config) into a bug report?

Nicolas Petton I should be able to fix it next week

this is the list of script sources (resumed)
thanks, I wanted to debug for myself, but I couldn't find the way to message the server without emacs
any hint on how to do that? i need it to parse the configuration so I can see where it goes wrong
thanks Nicolas, hope to use your extension at it's full power again soon :)
(I've been using debugger; since that seems to work, even though it's a bit tedious)
matrixbot
@matrixbot
Nicolas Petton hmm, debugger works? That's quite interesting!
Nicolas Petton if you could report it to https://github.com/nicolaspetton/indium/issues, it would be great

Hi all
Can i do a question?
Nicolas Petton
@NicolasPetton
@ZappaBoy Sorry for the late answer, but shoot!

@peter-wd-1
Hi, May I ask you a question?
@NicolasPetton
Peter
@peter-wd-1
So I’m basically using netlify-lambda and it builds the functions to designated folder.
Indium works perfectly fine in this project.
But the break point only works when it has a breakpoint in build file.
So when I add breakpoint in original file. It wont’ detect it. But it will detect if the breakpoint is in build file.
I’m assuming that It might redirect me to original js file if I set a sourcmap correctly but I dont’ know how.
My idea(I don’t know if this works):
Set sourcemap somehow and indium knows where the original fild of corresponding build file is.
When I set breakpoint in original file indium will accordingly set the real breakpoint in build file.
Then when it hits the point. It will redriect me to original file.
Do you think its possible?
I’m using RJSX mode for the project
matrixbot
@matrixbot
Nicolas Petton Can you show me how the files & source maps are built?
William Minshew
@wminshew_twitter
hi @NicolasPetton where can I find more instructions on setting up indium with webpack? am sure there are some options / configurations I need to add (running very slowly & crashing; asks to download script source every step, crashes often etc) but can't seem to figure it out from the docs..
breakpoints show up as empty circles and sometimes they work sometimes they don't?
William Minshew
@wminshew_twitter
the file does appear in indium-list-sourcemap-sources
and adding debugger; works, although having trouble with the stepper
William Minshew
@wminshew_twitter
hm.. possibly related to the warning about js2-mode, will have to test tmrw
William Minshew
@wminshew_twitter
you know what I think... adding root: src has fixed it
or maybe that was just a lucky run
will report back if problems arise again
William Minshew
@wminshew_twitter
any good resources for getting key bindings to work with spacemacs?
Harun Sheikhali
@hsheikhali
hey guys I have a question -- indium does not work for me using doom-emacs ...
I was literally following the guide and I keep getting this error: Symbol's value as variable is void: json-process-client--application-create
matrixbot
@matrixbot
Nicolas Petton Harun Sheikhali (Gitter): What version of emacs do you run?
