The nuspec did need updating. Your pr #57 seems to break on my ci server though! I'll look at it later
Harold Martinez
@zumicts
alright (Y) let me know if I broke something :smile:

Hi, I am having problems scrobbling tracks that are new to the lastfm database, they are not shown in the users scrobbles. For some reason the album of the new track gets created, but the track does not. Any help?
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
What's the track you're trying to scrobble?
I'll try it myself and see what the problem is.
Tim Stadler
@coczero
Well it's pretty much every track that doesn't exist (at least all the ones I tested)
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
it'd be good to have a specific track/artist combo to test with.
Tim Stadler
@coczero
ok I tried to scrobble The track "Test" by "Rewind The Silence" from the Album "123"
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
:thumbsup:
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
It appears to work for me, and the track was added too: http://www.last.fm/music/Rewind+The+Silence/_/Test

@coczero
Strange
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
Last.fm does filter out certain scrobbles:
  • artist name is "Various" or "Various Artists"
  • identical scrobbles repeated too frequently
  • scrobbles sent before the most recent scrobble on that account
that last point is probably most relevant to your app
Tim Stadler
@coczero
ill check again
thanks for your help
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
anytime!

@/all Hi everyone, I've just pushed v0.2 to NuGet.
This release was all about improving scrobbling, now supporting multiple scrobbles and automatic caching.
Full release notes are here.
Thanks!
Harold Martinez
@zumicts
Awesome release :thumbsup:

So, what should go into the next release? There are still a bunch of API methods to do, but any specific features you'd like for your apps @zumicts @factormystic (@/all) ? I want to put together a decent release every 6-8 weeks from now on, but I need some features to put in them!
The current backlog is on Trello.
Ricardo Santos
@rms81
Hi! I would love to jump in and help on some missing Api methods.
maybe finish the artist api
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
Hi @rms81 ! Sounds good. This guide should be enough to get started, and feel free to ask any questions in here
The artist methods aren't complete, though it'd be good to get some more tag methods done
Ricardo Santos
@rms81
OK. Going for the tags then.
Ricardo Santos
@rms81
@rikkit, regarding the other commands. Do you prefer to have one command per PR or it´s ok to have multiple commands in one PR?
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
@rms81 totally fine by me to have multiple commands per PR :)
Ricardo Santos
@rms81
Just checking ;)

Hi, im getting an ArgumentNullException when scrobbling without entering an album. I debugged trough your code and the JToken in the ParseJToken method doesnt contain any album info at all. it seems like lastfm doesnt send it, if no album was given.
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
@coczero is this the line you're talking about?
Thanks for the report, I will make that code more tolerant
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
@coczero I've just pushed an update to NuGet that solves that problem: https://www.nuget.org/packages/Inflatable.Lastfm/0.2.1.244 . Cheers!
Tim Stadler
@coczero
@rikkit nice, thank you :)
it works without problems now

Hi guys. How to get album release date? Method album.getInfo has no information about it, while we can get it on url. Property ReleaseDateUtc is useless in this case and will be null.
Harold Martinez
@zumicts
@F1nZeR some albums don't have that information.
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
@F1nZeR @zumicts I have tested a few albums and it looks like this information isn't being returned from Last.fm's API anymore
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
I'll look into it more during the week.
Tim Stadler
@coczero
Hi, is there any way to unauthorize a session token? Mine kinda "leaked" haha.

@rikkit
Hi @/all , I've just released versions 1.0.0 which is now packaged for netstandard1.1, and 0.3.0 which is still packaged as PCL Profile 259. v1.0.0 also upgrades dependencies. Check the releases page for full details. Cheers!

Heya! I'm a little new to this kind of thing, but thought I'd like to help a little. I was looking into writing a library for last.fm, and came across a question you answered on stackoverflow. Maybe I could tackle some of the missing api methods? I went ahead and added user.GetLovedTracks, and the unit tests for it, and I might go ahead and submit a pull request once I make sure I've done it all correctly. I haven't used git squash before, so this will be a good opportunity for me to ahead and learn that (seems straightforward though.)

@rikkit Started looking into converting the test project to .Net Core. I created a new test project and moved the relevant testfiles into that. Basically it is running fine BUT there is an issue with the embedded resource files. It seems .Net Core can only handle embedded files in string format. There is an open bug on msbuild for this (Microsoft/msbuild#2221)
@rikkit So i get an error on all test cases that uses the json files in Resources. Seems to find ways to work around this - but there are lots of autogenerated files (.resx and .Designer.cs) from Visual Studio in the Resource directory and I think i would have to do some changes in order to get it to work. Still worth pursuing?
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
@klinge just saw these messages - think we've resolved em in the GH chat!
Rick Ruhl
@rickerk6gdo
rikki is there an update or workaround to my issue?
Rikki Tooley
@rikkit
@rickerk6gdo I haven't had time to check out your project, sorry. I don't have any of the Xamarin tooling installed so I don't know if I'll be able to get to it in the free time I have tonight.
It's a strange issue - there's just not enough information at the moment.
