Hi Guys, I am just getting started with interledger, trying out the nodejs moneyd.... my understanding is that it should have no trouble with an uplink to the testnet correct?
I am getting the following stack trace when I run this in a latest Ubuntu docker image : https://gist.github.com/Neil-Jubinville/21f53afea7faef6fdd8e2b92b67de813
connector:app error Error: {"code":"F00","name":"NotAcceptedError" .....

@Solstice_Info_twitter I got moneyd working on a windows setup 👍 @Neil-Jubinville what connector are you connecting to? have you tried using testnet.ilpnetwork.dev?

@cjimison
@Neil-Jubinville I got the same error and posted to the Interledger forum here: https://forum.interledger.org/t/setting-up-moneyd-on-ubuntu-18/597/3
No answer yet to what is causing the issue
I have tried on Ubuntu, CentOS and OSX with no success

Thanks to @rslater12 for this gem. It got me past the initial connection issue:
  • Delete .moneyd.test.json
  • run: moneyd xrp:configure --testnet --advanced
  • When asked for the btp host enter: testnet.ilpnetwork.dev
  • Press enter for the default options after
  • once done run: moneyd xrp:start --testnet
    After that everything worked. Once again thanks for the help @rslater12!

Thx for confirming that, I am following this : https://github.com/d1no007/easy-connector-bundle
I also noticed it squawked on a few other params, I added an name into the config.json to prod it along - I'll try the advanced switch and add the other testnet address
Neil Jubinville
@Neil-Jubinville
Ok that works using the ECB link I gave above and swapping out the testnet host address.

hey everyone - wanted to update everyone on g.aurora ... after the DDoS attack last week against us ... I decided to make some changes to our environment to put more polish on my websocket design and routing so that I could get more reporting out of the environment in a manner that made it easier to identify when something nefarious may be afoot ... as such, I've changed the manner in which I connect peers to the ILP connector. If you had a connection to g.aurora already - I'll reach out to you with a small change you need to make to re-connect your peer ... For any others that would like to peer with g.aurora - just hit me up with a private message and we'll get connected! Apologize for the connector being down a bit longer than I had intended - but redesigning and testing the new implementation after fighting off the DDoS attack for a few days was quite a bit of effort ...

hey guys. Did you see the project very similar to ILP? they've recently released their WP

Interesting find ... They definitely have been studying Interledger

Heya there. I'm trying to follow the Getting Started guide and seem to be running into issues installing moneyd. Are there any known issues?
Running node v12.3.1 on a fresh Mac OSX install

FWIW I tried using Node v8.9.4 (via nvm) and installing moneyd works..

Running into an issue after starting moneyd. Any chance someone know what this issue is: https://gitlab.com/snippets/1862137

Re issue above, followed blog post comments here: https://medium.com/interledger-blog/using-moneyd-to-join-the-ilp-testnet-ba64bd42bb14 and updated the testnet btp to testnet.ilpnetwork.dev. This seems to fix the error but there seems to be an issue connecting still as I don't get past connector:balance-middleware
I circumvented using testnet and ran a local instance of moneyd and similarly ran ilp-spsp-server locally to send a payment successfully.

Are there currently problems with the live net? Wanted to start up moneyd. Trying to connect to strata-ilsp.com/xrp is resulting in 404 messages?!?

Hi All, hope your well; would anyone be able to help me get moneyd on the livenet
rslater12
@rslater12
Hi @ma06rii1_twitter what connector are you trying to connect to?
ma06rii
@ma06rii1_twitter
Hi @rslater12 , I tried 'ilsp1.phobosnode.com/moneyd', but I think the issue is that there are no livenet wallets supporting interledger
Kev King
@KevinKing64_twitter
Ah, @ma06rii1_twitter phobosnode has been renamed if I remember rightly. Now is solstice banner. Try ilsp1.solstice.io
All services with phobosnode have been altered and rebranded
Not at my pc, will check correct name later

Thanks @KevinKing64_twitter , I appreciate it, you're a top guy; Is there a specific XRP hotwallet service you would recommending using?
rslater12
@rslater12
Thank you @KevinKing64_twitter, @ma06rii1_twitter are you wanting a wallet to send funds to? have you tried running your own payment pointer with ilp-spsp-server? I think all the wallet/payment pointers that are public (tipbot, gatehub) are on a closed network? but iv been away for a while so this may have changed? maybe someone else can confirm this for me.
Kev King
@KevinKing64_twitter
@ma06rii1_twitter the actual new address for ilsp1.phobosnode.com is now ilsp1.solsticehub.io or try ilsp2.solsticehub.io
I cant really recommend any hot wallets, dont use them directly. But I use theworldexchange.net very easy interface, and wirex, nexo or revolt too. Exchange wise I have narrowed my options down to bitrue and coinfield.
you might want to join interledger.slack.com this option is very rarely visited these days :(

Hey All! Is there some blog / resource which shows off what people are building with ILP? All I am aware of is Coil
Miller Abel
@millerabel
@dennis, I’m not aware of a directory or blog, however, we are building an open source payment clearing and settlement system around ILP. See Mojaloop.io

I would like to understand more about nodes that serve as routers. Who owns or deploys these nodes? Are they managed the way DNS servers all over the world are?
