Done a bit of work on the statistics output http://alp-server.herokuapp.com/status
there's plenty there which should allow for good comparisons between pools/exchanges/pairs/sides

wow that's a real lot
let me go through this

@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 13:59
:) I got a bit carried away
hold on. I'll pop some data in
nope. I broke it instead. oops
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 14:01
that's the way :D
"reward-per-nbt":0.41, -> per minute, right?
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 14:04
yup
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 14:04
what's the difference between total and total-btc?
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 14:07
total is the total amount of liquidity provided in this credit round. total-btc is the total amount provided on the btc pairs
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 14:08
I'm confused
"reward-per-nbt-test_exchange":0.41,
"reward-per-nbt-test_exchange-btc":0.41,
same here
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 14:09
because this server has 1 exchange with 1 unit in the config
they'll change as data gets added too
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 14:09
well.. I guess I need a live example to understand this
and / or the nomenclature has to change
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 14:10
I'm nt adverse to changing anything. I'm just pumping some data in so the details should start changing in a monment
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 14:11
okay, tell me when it's time to look again ^^
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 14:11
there's data there now.
there's still details which are thhe same but again that;s because the server is only operating on 'test_exchange' on the nbt/btc pair
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 14:13
so if the server has more than one exchange "reward-per-nbt" will show the average for all exchanges?
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 14:13
reward-per-nbt is sum(all rewards) / total_liquidity
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 14:15
all_rewards / total_liq for exchange_1... exchange_n?
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 14:15
yes
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 14:15
okay
how is that number helpful?
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 14:16
gives a metric against which pools can be compared
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 14:16
mh, I'm not sure what to think about that
I prefer comparing pairs, not pools
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 14:17
OK that's valid. The issue is that there are different rewards for exchange/pair/side/tier
I suppose the truest value is reward-per-nbt-test_exchange-btc-ask-tier_1 etc.
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 14:42
yes, those are the values
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 14:43
alright. I've reduced it a bit to just those four rewards for each exchange/pair. I've also added a second test exchange and a couple of other currencies
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 14:44
I'll check later when I'm home
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 14:44
sure
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 16:21
so it's always
exchange_pair
?
total-test_exchange_2-usd-bid-tier_1 : 0
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 16:22
it's always [exchange][currency][side][tier]
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 16:22
okay I got it
inuitwallet
@inuitwallet
Nov 03 2015 16:22
I've made a few more changes, just about to push them
changes are up. just needs to run the stats collection (change was to collect stats automatically every minute or so and save to the database. The url command then gets from the database rather than generating them afresh each time. means we will have full stats foor the lifetime of the server"
Willy
@bananenwilly
Nov 03 2015 16:26
very nice

Nov 03 2015 16:27

good man. Just being a bit nosey. Haven't had a chance to keep up with the ALP stuff because of other things, but I hear some amazing stuff is happening in here

I'm good thanks. Likewise, been very busy with New job and the ALP stuff. I had a poke around daology but not had a chance to use it properly yet. That;s a good looking site I hope the service takes off.

still a bunch of loose ends we need to tie up, but I hope it helps distributed communities find some common ground to organize their ideas and move forward
