@sils
it's probably bad interpolation
(the points are ok I think but interpolation method is unsuitable)

@Niondir
It's some issue with the widget, F5 usually fixes it
just never digged into it, I like to replace the default widgets one day
at dashboard.lobaro.com you can get a free public hosted dashboards. I'm currently working on the Plugin Registry where people can publish their plugins and share them accross the internet
Currently I make them searchable at the website, they are already searchable in the dashboard
Than I will provide the API key needed to publish your own plugins at the user page and also allow to delete your own published plugins again

Like that :)
@sils

@devleaks
ok, fine. Let me understand how it works and I’ll publish my « sample »
Tobias Kaupat
@Niondir
You just need an account on dashboard.lobaro.com - get your api key from the Control Center and enter it in the Plugin Dialog in your dashboard (can be even local).

blob
Than you will find your plugin here: https://dashboard.lobaro.com/user
You can also delete it later on if you don't want it public anymore
@devleaks hope that helps :)
Pierre M
@devleaks
OK, getting there, but :Failed to publish Plugin: Internal Server Error
(trying to publish a widget plugin)
Tobias Kaupat
@Niondir
I check the log :)
ah I see one minute
can you try again?
@devleaks just try once again
Tobias Kaupat
@Niondir
I have to leave now, but tested it. I just had an inconsitency in the database after updating the server.
Pierre M
@devleaks
all right. You now have a leaflet map widget
add static geojson data to test with static datasource
Tobias Rohde
@Lobaro
thank you!
Tobias Kaupat
@Niondir
Noch I have a look later
Pierre M
@devleaks
ok, I made a sensorlog datasource to read data from SensorLog ios app. But this requires adjustment to it-dashboard.js in bin (I need to place a hook for post data)
Tobias Rohde
@Lobaro
Nidondir will have a look later :)
Pierre M
@devleaks
I get data from sensorlog, display them on the map and make a graph of any parameter (orientation, speed, etc.)
also, I noticed that you update your code frequently. I was still on 0.1.7
I can send you the source of my leaflet-map widget
Tobias Kaupat
@Niondir
Maybe just make a github Project
I do lot's of Updates currently.
For the minor version I try to keep the change log up to date. Else check commit messages
Pierre M
@devleaks
ok, let’s get organized! I forked your repo, and I’ll proceed through merge requests.
I added a small quick fix to test the process. thanks.
Tobias Kaupat
@Niondir
I'm not in the Office today. So I will check the commits this evening or tomorrow
Pierre M
@devleaks
Why are c3 and d3 loaded all the time through another mechanism? Shouldn’t they be loaded with the chart widget only?
Tobias Kaupat
@Niondir
Yes, i had them loaded for convenience first. Now the widgets are in iframes and there is no point anymore. I think it was never a good idea so I will just remove the dependencies again.
I thought it could be good to pin the version . But the iframes are a way better solution for sandboxing plugins
I will also load the data sources in iframes soon
Pierre M
@devleaks
About getting git info in dashboard: What about using https://nodejs.org/api/child_process.html to execute git and get commit info? OF course, this may loose portability and only work on unix systems, not windows.
Pierre M
@devleaks
const path = require('path') const exec = require('child_process').exec; exec('git describe --tags', (error, stdout, stderr) => { if (error) { console.error(exec error: ${error}) return } var me = path.basename(process.argv[1]) console.log(${me}: ${stdout}) });

Hello @Niondir I am a newbie in nodejs I was trying to make a dashboard for my iot data from sensors via raspberry pi to a web ui
ur project seemed like a perfect match, but I am having a hard time understanding how to make it work with custom sensor datasources, do I have to make an api or do I have to store the values of the sensors
to make them visible in the dasboard ? any tutorial or pointers
